I know I am late to the party here, but as a devout believer and follower of Jesus Christ, this is how I imagine a believer singing and worshiping God. This is what we feel in our hearts when we sit and contemplate what God has done for us, how he has rescued us from our sin. This is fantastic. This is how I imagine King David singing and shouting for joy to the Lord. I say all of this because I want to express my appreciation for Dan's cover of the song. The slow, somber singing of this song just does not do justice to the words and the true meaning behind just how amazing God's grace truly is.

I have sung this song and heard it preformed hundreds of times, but until now I never realized that it is in fact a Victory Anthem. OMG with Dan it definitely is! FYI The harmonica was a gift, when he was young, from his late father. It says something about the fact that he chose to play it with this song about how he values this gift. So, this video was my introduction to Dan Vasc as well. I was left speechless with my mouth open and had to replay it right away and it sounded even better! I never liked Metal Music before but Dan has opened me up to a whole new world musically. So far, I have not come upon any of his covers that I WOULDN'T RECCOMEND !! Incredible, one-of-a-kind voice. No emotion, you say? What!? I watch this and feel it from his soul. He happens to be a Christian man. I live in The Bronx, down the street from a Church (Catholic) and we hear bagpipes at least twice a week ( usually an Irish funeral). Dan’s use of the harmonica (mouth organ) gives his cover a Celtic feel. Brilliant, I think that “harp” was given to him by his father when he was a child. I happen to be a devout Catholic and a recovering alcoholic in AA. In AA “Amazing Grace” is our unofficial “anthem” whether you are religious or not. Blessings.

Yes, you really can almost see his sound. And if you watch again, you will see a very spiritual reaction from Dan as he sings this song. He's a professed Christian. And, speaking of national anthems, check out his cover of The Star Spangled Banner ... it puts any version of it sung by anyone here in the US to shame. This is the BEST ever version of this song... Dan Vasc is an amazing singer and performer. He has incredible range and vocal control. He took lessons years ago, taught singing, and has 10+ years of a wide variety of covers on his channel. He records his performance 3 times to get various camera angles and then he edits the videos, does the audio mixing, etc. - very talented, never boring. Dan is a very serious singer, has classical training along with other things. Teaches voice as well. Listen to his Nessum Dorma video if you can, it is great. Not Metal at all, straight up opera, and very impressive. His one-man Halleluiah Chorus is also a great listen, his range is terrific.

As Dan is an extremely expressive and animated performer that comes from his heart and soul unlike many singers. He's not afraid to show his inner most feelings , in this dedication to his father. Please take that: "Bring Me To Life" (male version).There is his H.E.A.T Cover with ERIK GRÖNWALL - "Breaking The Silence". Dan is lead singer of the metal band Fearless. He's Brazilian and so far he has recorded all his songs at home, most of them in his garage.

It's unfortunate for us that Dan doesn't currently perform live with Fearless outside Brazil ATM but great we have KZbin available for the covers and the original performances, too. He's also been able to upgrade his studio. 🙂

Amazing Grace is not your average song, it’s a hymn written in 1772 by Anglican Minister, John Newton and the music, called ‘New Britain’ was added in 1835 by American Baptist Worship Leader, William Walker. This hymn was therefore created as an expression of worship 🙏 to God Almighty. 🔥 It’s one of the greatest hymns of all time. Dan is clearly performing as per the genre and is telling his faith story with reverence and awe. I’m sure it is how those of us who are faith filled would all want to express our worship if only we could sing like Mr Vasc. Imagine it sung this way by a choir of power metal Vascs!!!! He has put together such a choir in his video performance of Handel’s Messiah ‘The Hallelujah Chorus’. Huge respect to Mr Vasc ❤ 🙏
