International Law states illegals arriving by boat or any other means can and should be deported to the last safe country they were in prior to their initial. That would be France in our case.

As for immigrants as you call them, who do you imagine will take up the minimum-wage jobs to support our state pensions going forward? I live near a post-industrial northern town. There are many indigenous people here who are proud of never having worked and who sneer at and deride anyone who has self-respect enough to take up a low-paid job when they would be just as well off on benefits. Perhaps often better off.
