There really is a difference between regular popcorn and kettle corn. The sugar not only lends a sweetness but also as it caramelizes it gives a nice crunch that even the freshest regular popcorn doesn't have. Also, less greasy fingers.

My son got a book every month from birth through 5 years. Dolly is amazing, and I live 35 minutes from Dollywood and 40 minutes from where she was born. I live in South Knoxville, Tennessee.

That's brilliant to hear, I've seen other guys called Yankee in the South vlogging here too which I enjoy watching ❤️

Dolly's Imagination Library is a program where she will send a book a month to a child through age 5 for free. All you have to do is register your child. Program is available in the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland and Great Britain. Currently 3,188,202 kids are registered with 254,519,967 books distributed since 1995. I believe proceeds from Dollywood helps fund it.

Subscribed from Michigan US! Dolly Parton is our National treasure! She is a massive humanitarian and loved by literally all of us! If you work at the park your children can go to university for free. She started the park so her relatives could have jobs and people in the area that were unemployed. I know you have been told of the imagination library, she also gave millions for development in the COVID vaccine. She is one of the greatest people in the world! Hands down! Great reaction!

Turkey legs are incredibly juicy, because it’s all dark meat. I know Brits don’t love turkey because it’s always dry and bland there… And believe me, it’s the same way in most American homes because they’re not prepared properly… But smoked legs are a totally different thing. The slow smoking over the proper wood gives them a HAM flavor, as hard as that is to believe. More incredible… They’re incredibly cheap in the states. You can buy huge fresh ones at your supermarket for like $4 for two. (They’re always packaged as two’s.) And smoke them yourselves.

Sounds like I'll have to add these to my food bucket list, turkey that tastes like ham, now that's a new level of crazy lol 😆

I lived for a few years just across the Smoky Mountain National Park from Pidgeon Forge, TN (where Dollywood is) in Townsend, TN ("the quiet side of the Smokies"). We got family passes to Dollywood. Aside from the regular stuff all summer they have special weeks (one for kids, one for gospel music, one for bluegrass, one with performers from all over the world, etc.). And the regular music shows in the park as as good as you will find anywhere. Plus there is a waterpark that is owned by the same people if you want a lot of wet rides that are just across the road from DW called Splash Country. And for the Christmas season they put up something like 6 million Christmas lights! It really is a cool place.

Flip me that's so many lights...I've seen a few vlogs of people called Yankee in the South that live and vlog here all the time and would love ❤️ to go to this area of the US in person around the holiday season, looks like a lovely place to have lived which your lucky for 😃

Yeah, sorry, my friend you are dead wrong about kettle corn. It's not just popcorn that we decided to call something else for funsies. The sugar caramelizes on each kernel making it an entirely different texture than your average popcorn or flavored popcorn as it has a great crunch of this caramel-y sugary coating on the outside
@DillonMcClureReactsАй бұрын
Yea in the cinema I worked at in the UK we also made it with the sugar coating but I suppose we just call it pop corn in the UK and not kettle corn. 😄
@Ira88881Ай бұрын
@@DillonMcClureReacts But true Kettle Corn is made the way shown in this video. Does your movie theater prepare it THAT way? So it’s not just in the name. Kettle Corn can’t be made from an automatic popcorn machine at your local cinema.
@DillonMcClureReactsАй бұрын
@Ira88881 hi thanks for your comment, your probably right and the kernels were poured into a drum style pot with a metal mixer and then sugar or butter salt depending on the batch with oil and when popped it's tipped out on to a tray which is part of the machine...its like this one I've linked from the popcorn makers website however the model of the machine does have kettle in its name. www.thepopcornmachine.com/cretors

Hello! Just found your channel and love your reaction! Allow me to answer some of your questions! 1. Kettle corn uses sugar, hence all the protective gear. That sugar goes flying at scalding temperatures, while also coating the popcorn. I'm personally not a huge fan (sweets hurt my teeth), but my mom is. 2. Dolly's imagination library is a foundation where she donates books to those in need. I know it seems hard to believe (considering most media portraying the USA is either political or through Hollywood), but there are a lot of communities that are so impoverished that things like libraries (which are common place in most of America) are a luxury. Dolly's donations help motivate children in those neighborhoods to learn to read (as illiteracy is actually more common in the US than people think). 3. Not "far" from Dollywood is Graceland (the stomping grounds of Elvis Presley). Tennessee is pretty famous for their music. The reason I put 'far' in quotes is because it's a six and a half hour drive, which to most Americans is a small road trip. However, in Europe, that's a bit longer than going from Warsaw to Berlin. It's a drive, but not long for an American. 4. Along with music, the Southern US is famous for BBQ. Each major city as their own kind, utilizing different ingredients and techniques. The ribs you get in Memphis won't be the same ribs you get in Kansas City, each BBQ is unique. Along with other regional delicacies, such as Louisiana's gumbo, and Mississippi soul food that will make your cholesterol rise and heart warm. People (especially Europeans) like to poke fun at Americans for having no culture or being fat. The fact is that the US is very diverse and thus has many cultures, not a singular defining one. Pennsylvania has their own Oktoberfest, since many Germans settled there (hence the term 'Pennsylvania Dutch' for Deutschland) and Florida (especially the lower half) has AMAZING Cuban food! Each state is basically its own nation, with new cultures to explore. You should look up more videos regarding American food, believe me when I say you'd never be short on content. I hope you have an amazing day! :)

Wow what a really nice comment, it's cool reading about your explanations and info on journeys in the US. Thanks For taking the time to do that. I look at what other reaction channels are making videos on and kind of pick one that sounds cool and am actually able to learn a little about your culture in each Video I make which is a great bonus. ♥️🇬🇧🇺🇲

Congratulations you are the 7th person who has popped up on my feed reviewing this same video. LOL Did you ever think that if you review videos of people who have a HUGE following that the chances are very good we have seen the video before you reviewed it? Do you not think it would be a better idea to review videos of people who a small following? For example if you want to review videos of Dollywood there are like 1,000 other videos you can watch that have less than 500 followers so most people have not seen that video even though it could be a really good video?
