Such sensible, nice people! I liked their answers. Small talk can be used at work, for example in healthcare (my personal experience) as a way of putting your customers/patients at ease.

So, Mitch, in other words, when I talked to one woman in a pub about her glasses, as they were similar to mine, it’s probably a good thing that I didn’t say she had nice eyes, right? You see, I asked her if she also wore contacts. She said no, because she’s afraid to touch her eyes.

I'm looking forward to watching this lesson. Thank You for providing such valuable lessons. It helps me a lot to improve my listening skills, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and on top of that, I see how natives actually speak in real life which is wicked.

Hi! Nice video. I wonder a little about the word awful. Since awe is a positive thing, how come that awful means something negative?

I find ,maybe it's my age, British people don't discuss their wages ,totally taboo !! People even in the same job would not discuss this ( then their employers could grossly mistreat them ???!!!)

Thank you for your video lessons. I wonder why you make interwiews along that sea promenade only, which , by the way, is not so captivating. I understand you live in Brighton, why don't you show us the streets , squares, parks and so on, of Brighton?

Thanks for your comment! I will show you more of Brighton soon 😁

I don't do Smalltalk

Nice topic 👍 In Egypt we rarely talk to total strangers, especially if they're from the other sex. For example I never ask a girl for directions unless I'm totally lost with no man around and I have to ask with the highest respect and shyness I could possibly have on my face to avoid being misunderstood. Personally I prefer to get to know people first and establish any sort of social connection before complemeting them. Meanwhile it's good to see that some little girls still put on classic wear like the one in the thumbnail 👌

@@manygor2687 It's called "respect". Have you heard that word before? Or perhaps that concept is extinct from wherever you live?
@islamadam85022 жыл бұрын
@@manygor2687 It's not disrespect to talk to women in Islam, it's an act of disrespect to talk to stranger women for no good reason, and I believe that lots of women around the world would find stranger men talking to them for no good reason creepy, so chill out and take your ignorant anti-Islamic campaign to somewhere else other than a KZbin page made for language learning not for religious debates.
