The camouflage on the Bradley (and Abrams) is not meant to fully hide the vehicle, just to break up it's silhouette. Nature doesn't make straight lines so the human eye is automatically drawn to unnatural shapes. The cammo netting simply helps hide some of those straight lines so it's not as easy to spot. It's difficult to hide a Bradley or Abrams because of their size and noise but if you can make them harder to spot, you give the crews more time to engage the enemy first.

It also helps reduce thermal signatures somewhat but it won't make much of a diffrence to be fair.

Not only what everyone has already said but with the sensors it has, the first engagement won’t be until it’s kilometers out so for enemies with inferior optics (everyone other than US in 2024 (at least for now)), that camo means a world of difference in the real world. There are paper statistics and real world combat experiences and the difference cannot be understated You can’t just watch a promo video of it less than 10 meters away is all I’m saying

It’s useless. The freaking exhaust comes out the top of the Bradley so it doesn’t mask the thermal signature even a little bit. It also doesn’t break a single straight line on the vehicle by hanging it off the side of the straight edges of the vehicle. The only way to camouflage that huge sucker is to use terrain intervisability lines and the skill of the crew to maneuver. We also dismount a lot to survive unless we’re in a meeting engagement"

Coming from a Marine Machine Gunner 0331, the M.2 Browning can fire a slew of different rounds. The military use, mostly, normal ball rounds (full metal jacket), black tip (armor piercing), red tip (tracer). There are also blue tip/light blue tip (incendiary), silver tip/silver and blue tip (armor piercing incendiary), silver and red tip (armor piercing incendiary tracer). Two rounds that is no longer used called the SLAP (saboted light armor penetrator) and the RAUFOSS (multi-purpose anti-material armor piercing/incendiary round.

Himars missiles launch at 85 km/h and travel at 3,063 km/h, Mach 2.5 (internet info cited is rarely highly accurate, but will get you somewhere close enough to imagine.) Bradley isn't fully camouflaged in that footage, but generally, any breaks in solid lines and unatural shapes help to confuse the Human eye and prevent objects from being recognized as easily.

Camouflaged , the film is mostly training shots, when the bullets starts flying the camo grows exponentially with the volume of steal going over your head. The guys will put a tree on top if you let them. The equipment is absolutely important but a will to fight by the soldiers that a nation puts forward is the winning ticket. Wars are won by men and women given weapons that work. The American infantry officer wears a patch on his shoulder that emblemize a sword with the words , " Follow ME".

Those red rounds you see from the Cram at 6:13 are tracer rounds, they are used to help guide your shots in the dark, they also are usually space out about every 10 regular rounds. So you are basically seeing every tenth round, and it still looks like a solid line of red. That is a lot of rounds that was fired.

I served in West Germany during the Clod War along with around 200,000 U.S. troops. At that time the Vietnam War was happening and we had around 500,000 troops there plus around 75,000 troops in Korea on the DMZ. Back then ALL of our military branches were larger with more bases, troops, planes, and ship. I think our military is smaller now than before WWII and the majority of our forces are not combat ready and under manned.

also the point of camoflauge netting, isn't to cover and hide something. The way it works is by disrupting an objects outlines, the human eye detects the things it is searching for by looking for silhouette's against the background, not color patterns. So if you can disrupt the lines the eye uses to make identifications, the human mind will actually paint an illusion in that the thing it is looking at is actually part of the background scenery.

Camo is for satellites not human eyes. The purpose is to evade enemy's intelligence and hide troop movements.

Ofc the camo isnt working from a video 2 feet away 😂😂 if you are out in the field it would absolutely help make it harder to spot, especially if theres foilage around

As a former member of the US Army and Combat Veteran of OIF 4,5 & 6 I can say that I was a part of the Worlds Greatest Army ever assembled and deployed for combat. Our technology was only outshined by the fighting spirit of the grunts on the ground. Iraq FAAFO like so many others will soon. I pray for Peace but Prepare for War as we have been trained to do. Ameica is the New Worlds Empire that England always tried to become. Miss using the M2 50 cal. As a Scout with the Armored Cav our tankers allowed us scouts to fire 2 rounds of 120mm during table 8 qualifications. We helped them break tracks & maintain the Beast while the crews focused upon acing the Shooting Qualification tests. Had a ton of fun in the Army but im glad im out.

As a retired Cavalry Scout who was a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Commander for years I’ll let you know the deal with the camo net that’s hanging on its side. It’s there because some idiot Officer thinks it looks cool and will hide the vehicle. It’s useless. We hide the Bradley by using the terrain and our skill at maneuver, not with a stupid Camo Net.
