There is a video out there about Camden. South Carolina, where a revolutionary war battle happened with a British had won and they found a grave with 12 revolutionary patriot s and one highlander, there are a few videos about it. A Scottish group from Scotland came to honor the soldier. All are buried in the same cemetery.

Nice on the Baltimore shout out 🍻, fireworks over the Harbor and we got Fort McHenry where the national Anthem was written during the significant battle and all. So it’s historically significant here too, but in recent years things downtown just got a little too hectic lol

years ago when I was in the Navy we had a port call in England. We had a 4th of July bbq for the local residents. And they had a few bands for us. Pretty cool. I had 1 shipmate say he did not realize that England had a 4th of July. Everyone that uses our calendar has a 4th of July. I just saw on the news you have an election today, kind of ironic lol.

Aiden mentioned San Diego's fireworks show. I'm near Long Beach. For probably 30 years, I went to Disneyland's every year because it was historically one of the best shows around. But I let my annual pass lapse a few years ago because it's just not the same as it used to be. I've never been to San Diego's but might try it sometime before I retire and move out of State. I wanted you guys to see the following video. This is our local news broadcast tonight. They aren't kidding--it sounds like WW3 outside, even past midnight lol! Despite most cities in the LA Basin banning fireworks outright, watch the following video (link). I often drive the freeways on the 4th because the amount of fireworks going off all around is incredible to witness. (Almost all of them illegal hahaha!) Gaynor mentioned seeing them from a helicopter and I was JUST thinking that earlier tonight. I seriously contemplated about next year trying to hire one. You'll see what I mean. Enjoy! kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmW5Z5ufeNKdirc

The narrator is a native of southern California, and although a beautiful area from which to hail, has no concept of 'humidity'.That fact is why I don't question his assertion that July in Chicago is 'nice and pleasant'. Chicago is humid in the summer, which can make 83F feel like 100F. When it's 100F in Phoenix, it's 100F. When it's 85F in the midwest, the humidity cant take your breath away when you exit an air conditioned building. It's like being hit by a solid wall of thick, wet, wool blankets.

The Republic of Texas was an independent country, larger than the current state, but due to massive debt it agreed to join the U.S. as a member state and seceded a lot of its land which now makeup parts of several other states. It's the only state that joined the union as an existing country and you would be very accurate in saying that many people there think of themselves as Texans first and Americans second.

@@TxGuy-kn1su Hmmm… this is what you wrote verbatim: “…could we do it again ,probably so..our economy is good..we have natural resources..” (I left in all your mistakes of course) Now, you’re attempting to split hairs - I don’t even know what 95k even refers to. If it refers to someone’s earnings, very average for someone starting out. To be clear, without the rest of the states, Texas would be nothing. Zero. Happy 4th!🎆 Or maybe you don’t celebrate today.

I don't think people understood what Aiden said, he never said if they were an independent country from US or not. He said they recently tried to succeed again, which I did hear of them trying to do but good luck with that the US gov't will come in and take your land before they allow you to do that again.
@pacmanc81034 ай бұрын
@@LukaDonesnitch He didn’t say they recently tried to secede (not succeed). Texas has never tried to secede since the Civil War. Of course it is total nonsense that the US government would come and take land. Don’t spread disinformation!
