I wish I could figure out how to explain that a "burger" is not based on the bun...it is always ground meat, usually beef, or a takeoff on a ground meat one, like a black bean burger. There is no "chicken burger", unless it is ground chicken(which I have seen done!). What you had is a chicken sandwich on a bun. A burger can be on any type of bread. The original burger, from New Haven Connecticut, is still served on white sliced bread, exactly like the first one. I know I have failed, however. This is along the lines of the cookies in brown gravy(biscuits and gravy) meme. Alas.

You can buy frozen Checker's/Rally's fries in most US grocery stores. I get them all the time. Also you can get Arby's curly fries as well.

Missed this video when came out! I adore Rallys. Big Buford and a fry lovers fry. They also have amazing turnovers and fish sandwiches. The deep sea double is a monster sandwhich that is lunch and dinner in one! Best part about Rallys is that everything is served nuclear-hot and freah to order.

Checkers is called Rally's up here in Kentucky (You can see both logos on the wrappers). Glad you tried the banana milkshake. Those are great. The most unique thing about Rally's (or Checker's) to me is the fries. I buy them frozen at the grocery store and put them in the air fryer. Hearing Mrs. H try and pronounce Buford was hilarious. It's obvious you guys have never seen the movie, "Smokey and the Bandit". LOL A lot of people put down the hamburgers from Rally's as they are among the cheapest of fast food burgers, but I think they are still pretty good. They do the same thing about Little Caesar's Pizza and it's one of the most successful pizza chains in the country so they must be doing something right other than the price. It was interesting to see you guys try so many different items there as I've only ever pretty much just gotten the burgers and fries, and of course that banana shake.

I always go for the spicy chicken sandwich (or the double spicy chicken sandwich). So good. Sometimes I'll also get the checkerburger, which is a decent "cheap" fast food chain burger. And the fries are as good as stated here.

Where I live in Ohio, this chain is called Rally's - it's the same menu, logo, etc, just different name. Haven't been there in ages - now I want to go back! ...AND, I have to say, to my American ears there is NOTHING (or almost nothing) as sweet as the sound of a little child with an English accent! Little Alana's voice is beyond precious, and when she was talking to her daddy and put her head on his shoulder, it made me tear up a little. She is such a doll baby.

I went to uni in South Florida and I grew to love Checkers. Back in the 90s, it was the only place to get seasoned curly fries (chips) in the area. There wasn't an Arby's anywhere near my school. Still, when I go back to South Florida, I stop by a Checkers for a burger and some of their curly fries.

If yall get a chance, next time you're in the South, you should try Raising Canes! They only do Chicken Tenders, Texas Toast, Crinkle Cut Fries, Cole Slaw, and their Special Canes Sauce. But the pro move is to get your toast BOB style (Which is Butter on Both sides) and order some Honey Mustard as well (its not on their menu, but they make that in house as well). Ask for some hot sauce. Try the sauce by itself first but putting one if the packets of hot sauce in the special Canes Sauce makes it amazing ❤ The sauce is so good you might want to order a few extra ones as well 😂

I used to have a Rally’s down the street from me for years. Very handy dinner option when I didn’t feel like cooking anything. 😊 It made me very sad when it went away - it’s a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf now. The chain’s menu seems to have expanded significantly since then.

Little H and her face! I am powerless to the serious cheeks! she is so adoreable drinking that shake, I have enjoyed Checkes / Ralley's ever since i discovered them in the early 1990s. Back then a burger, fry and drink meal was $1.97+ tax Seth Green was staring in the Commercials back then. I would hit it there often and chill out on the picnic tables and enjoy a nice cool evenings, man what great times young and free! P.S. It's called Rally's where I live in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California. (Yosemite National Park is partially located in my home county of Madera!) Rally's often has limited-time hamburgers available too. They had an A-1 Steak Sauce Burger that was surprisingly good since I'm not a big fan of A-1 Steak Sauce. I think that the closest British equivalent would be HP Brown Sauce. Currently, they are promoting a couple of BBQ Brisket Burgers served on Texas Toast and they're pretty good too. Those fries, apple pies, and their tasty beverages/milkshakes are great! I'm glad that all three of you lovely people enjoyed it!

Ahhhhh, she's such a little sweetheart. Funny Story. Years ago when a commercial, Where's the beef was making its way around the US. I went to a Checkers, for food to go, I brought it home, we started eating and I noticed I got a hamburger, With no Meat. Lol, So I drove back to the drive through at checkers, handed them the burger, and asked them, Where's the beef, explained to them what had happened, we all had a good laugh. First time getting a hamburger without the meat. 😂😂😂

Checker's/Rally's is pretty dang good. I really do like their burgers. I got to try those funnel fries, they sound pretty good. I love the way that McDonald's used to fry their apple pies. Now, we Americans have to go to Checker's, Popeyes, or Church's Chicken and ask them to not coat the pie with cinnamon sugar to get a McDonald's fried apple pie. My go to is a Big Buford, lg fries, strawberry milkshake, and their apple pie. It's quick, easy, and it taste pretty dang good. Great video H Family. :)
