So the secret of White Mystery is not a "world ending" secret and is actually really cool. So they tend to make Air Heads in batches of 3 flavors at a time, and there are more flavors than what you have there. When they're at the end of a batch, they usually have some residual mix from the 3 flavors they were doing, but not enough to make a batch out of any of them. So they'll mix all 3 of them together and make a batch out of that, keep it white and that's the White Mystery flavor. It is quite literally a mystery because it's a combination of the standard flavors, but there isn't a standard for them. They could have had a lot of watermelon, some cherry, and a little bit of grape left over and they'll make a White Mystery from that which will differ from if they just happen to get an equal amount of blue raspberry, strawberry, and sour apple. So just know you probably will never get the same tasting White Mystery Airhead flavor ever just due to statistics.

In case Mr H. and his wife aren't aware, I wanna provide some context to the snacks they're eating. In America, when it comes to snacks, there is an unspoken tier system. In this tier system, the snacks you're currently snacking on, are known as the "Cheap Affordable Snacks We All Ate Growing Up". Everything on your table, aside from the Girlscout Pretzels, can be purchased at any gas station for around a dollar. And more often then not, a gas station is where we are buying these items. Now let me say i'm super giddy at the fact you enjoy so many of these snacks! Growing up, everyone knew Junior mints, raisinets, air heads, milk duds, Arizona Teas and especially peanut butter crackers. These are by no means high quality snacks, maybe even some of the cheapest snacks we sell in America, but they're all delicious and nostalgic in their own way. Anywho, great video, I enjoyed it. Wish you and yours well from your family across the pond!

I love watching your reactions to American foods because you are always honest about what you like or don't like. Milk Duds, Junior Mints, and Raisinets are all movie theater snacks that have been around a very long time. I ate them both at the movies and at home growing up in the 1960's & 70's. My favorite movie theater candy is Snow Caps which are dark chocolate chips with Nonpareils (little white balls of sugar) on top. I could sit and eat the whole box. 😁So glad you enjoyed your trip to the US. It's been a lot of fun watching you try our food. Hope you'll get to come back soon. Love and hugs from the northwest suburbs of Chicago! 🥰🤗🤗🤗

Ahhh, the movie theater snacks! Those being Raisinets, Milk Duds and Junior Mints. I remember those being available clear back to early childhood, so around 1960, probably. We couldn't afford to go often, so Milk Duds may have come out later. Dad liked Raisinets. I detest them. Chocolate with fruit ruins both for me. In fact, while I like raisins, I don't like them *in* anything. Just give me plain raisins, and I'll happily eat them. Loved Milk Duds, but never thought the chocolate was the greatest quality. But aside from watching your fillings, nom. Junior Mints were good, but MINT!!!!! 😆 A few were enough to last me for the evening. My favorite old movie candies were Red Vines (cherry licorice), Sugar Babies (chewy caramel drops wih a solid caramel crust; much easier to chew than Milk Duds once you sucked off the crust), Nonpareils (cheap chocolate discs with dragees), and Jordan Almonds, another tooth-breaking candy. Best was Sugar Babies with popcorn. Get 4 or 5 Sugar Babies in your mouth, and when you'd melted the coating, throw in a mouthful of popcorn. Best. Caramel. Corn. Ever. Like soft caramel popcorn today. The rest, never tried, or weren't keen on, like Payday. I'm not in love wih peanuts; just peanut butter. Never tried any of the drinks. I'll make iced tea.😄 I wouldn't try Kombucha on a bet. I'l love to try the Reeses ice cream, though! But my freezer isn't working. And it's The End??!? Oh noes, that just *flew* by for us! Thank you so, so much for spending all that time on your trip to make vlogs for us. We've had great fun! Wonderful memories. Bless you!

mystery airheads are the ends of two different batches of taffy that touch during production. they cut those pieces off dye them white and mix it together. its to create something new while avoiding waste. they ran a contest a number of years ago that challenged kids to figure out the flavor, it was just a bunch of nestle prizes really. honestly no one ever came close. it was just fun though.

I don't care for most bottled or canned sweet teas. I think there's Pure Leaf and some other brand I'll drink, but it's best when you get the bags and make it yourself. Sun brewed iced sweet tea is also really good. Oh and some restaurants do good sweet tea like Raising Canes, Popeyes, and Chick Fil A, depending on how well the location is run and how often they clean and change out things.

Having done many focus groups over the years taste testing products what they do every time they would give us a sample would be to give us a saltine cracker and a cup of water to cleanse our palette. Also that Gatorade that has zero sugar so it's not the same effect as a regular Gatorade for rehydration.
@falconlore9666 Жыл бұрын
Actually Gatorade Zero is more hydrating since it has no sugar to work against the electrolytes which are salt. Sugar actually a diuretics and increases your bodies need for water. Gatorade Zero is by no means healthy but if you are looking to be hydrated and not raise your blood sugar as much it is a better option than the sugary version.

FYI, the Reese's Puffs bars are part of a line of cereal bars, where favorite American cereals are made into a portable snack. It's meant for those that don't have time to sit down to a bowl of cereal in the morning, although a lot of people use them for snacks or in lunchboxes. Also, if you want a snack reminiscent of a Payday bar, a popular thing to do in the US is to mix candy corn and peanuts together in a bowl. It tastes almost exactly the same! Also, Mrs H, I totally agree with you about tea! It gives me an upset stomach. But, how do you deal with that in a tea-crazy country like Britain???
