Diagon Alley is my favorite spot here at the Florida Universal. They are opening a 3rd park next year with the Ministry of Magic . Y’all will definitely have to visit one day!

Have a lot of fun like this in your life..especially under age 45. I went to places like this...Doll Wood before it was Dollywood...Silver Dollar City. Also Orland Disney World. Then me and my wife stopped doing stuff. Wasn't health it was money. Stuff started costing more and more so we quit. I lost her 5 years ago now and wish we'd done stuff like that. Im 55 now so going to a big place lik that alone...Id be ..well unhappy. So go go go when ya can and keep those memories.

My first memory is of my family and me at Universal in 1995. It makes me smile seeing y'all making similar memories. What helps my memory of when I was so young was the tape my parents took on an old cassette video recorder of the trip, so this is special to watch another generation do the same.

I went so long ago I did not recognize hardly anything.. back then it was mostly a ride thru the various sets and warehouses.. the prop dept, etc with a tiny kiosk for souvenirs at the end

I've been to the one in Florida when I was there for work. We only went to Citywalk, though, and we waited until 5 PM so we could park for free. Loved it!

I’ve only been to universal in Orlando but I always get the unlimited express passes because I stay in the resorts that come with them ( you can buy them too) and I’ve never had to wait longer than 15mins for any ride. Most you walk right on and I always go around spring break!

I have been to Universal Studios Hollywood only once and that was back in the 70s. The biggest attractions were jaws and the parting of the red sea. At that time city walk did not exist. All that came many many years later.

You can rent baby strollers that you can put all the paraphernalia you acquire on. Unless you want to go back to all the shops you ended up buying souvenirs at later on.

This is actually so cool to see because I live by the Universal parks in Orlando, Florida, and I've never seen the original park! Universal makes amazing rides and experiences. It's the only major theme park franchise that I never regretted buying season passes for. Something great for all ages and you don't need to absolutely live and breathe the stories to be into the park experiences like you do for Disney.

Universal Studios and also Disney World in Florida are way bigger than the parks in california. I believe Disney World Florida is like a hundred times bigger than Disneyland California😊

@@mildredpierce4506 It's not that expensive. We were there 8 times. It's like $120 a day and we would get a two day pass and just go to Epcot and Animal Kingdom. We usually stay at a nice motel with a pool approximately 15 miles away and it's like $75 a night.

It is TONS of walking.. but my grandkids loved it.. especially the wizard stuff.. And I loved watching them. But I get your point, the place is overwhelming with noise and crowds.

I usually get the VIP passes, especially if I am going on a weekend or another busy day, then you get to cut through the lines and avoid long waits. It did not look too busy, so that is good. And there are some really good places to eat at City Walk. I have never had a bad time at USH. Glad you all had fun!!🎬

I've been to Universal Studios since the 1970s. The lot was the original wooden sets from the old movies. Not as commercial as it is now, more like a lot of flammable facades. They eventually caught fire And most of the original back lot burned down. It was fun to see the old shark exhibit and the flood exhibit are still there. When you live in Southern California visitors always want to see the major attractions. Universal is always their favorite.

You have to come back to Los Angeles! Warner Brothers Studios has a tour! You can see Central Perk from friends and sit on the couch and everything. Friends was completely filmed on the Warner Brothers lot. Warner Brothers is also just ten minutes away from Universal, down the hill in Burbank. Let us know when you’re on your way back, I’ll get you tickets for the tour! (I worked for WB for a while few years, so I have contacts) 😊 (Not to mention the merchandise they have for Friends is out of this world!)

Pretty cool. It has been a long time since I have been to Universal. I worked for a private engineering firm and Universal Studios was one of our major clients. I personally worked on Jurassic Park The Ride, King Kong, City Walk, ETs Advenure (defunct), Back to the Future (defunct) and the parking structures, you were parked in one of them. One of the nice things about working on the Jurassic Park ride and Back to The Future ride, were that I received two team jackets with my name on them. Last time I was there I picked up a nice Harry Potter cauldron coffee mug.

You have to do Disneyland next. It’s better for children but if course Archie wouldn’t remember a thing if you went now so it’s best to wait when he is a bit older. And I do recommend Disneyland over Disney World mainly because it is a lot smaller and much more manageable with small children. Also it is the first Disney park so that carries a bit of weight as well.

In case you ever go back, I highly recommend you get on the Transformers ride. It’s probably the best-quality 3D ride in the park, and my personal favorite out of the simulations!

I know every ride and how they work. The transformers ride is built exactly like the Spider-Man ride although the movement is different. The Simpsons ride is the old back to the future ride that was completely redone. The hog warts ride is a rare mechanical arm system. The kids area rides are nothing more than classic fun fair rides that are decorated. The original stuff is on the tram tour and you guys rode a classic tram as the modern version is white. Red is the classic one that does a stop midway through for a car show and meeting doc brown. I know everything universal will put in, how it works, what they are changing, possible dates of opening and all that. I also know all about Disney as both companies are in Orlando and I live in Orlando. Orlando is getting a unique coaster not at California as that will open in the next two years. Trust me universal specializes in more screen based rides while Disney actually tries with real sets and its actual look.

If you like the Harry Potter in universal Hollywood you have to visit universal Orlando to me it’s so great you have the hogwarts express that takes your from hogemede and dragon ally and in 2025 they are opening epic universe which will have the ministry of magic and the fantastic beasts universe I’m so excited
