Rides, roller coasters, games, food, 4H animals, concerts (Foreigner just played) and we get some big well known artists coming through. It has a rodeo and so much more. You can also buy a wood stove or a hut tub there too. So many vendors. It will break the wallet though.

@mildredpierce45064 ай бұрын
Amusement parks, bears and carnivals are always overpriced on their foods. I believe one reason is because the vendors have to pay a lot of money to set up their space and they also have to provide proof of liability insurance. I went to a car show in April and bought some fries with some meat on it from a food truck and it was $16. I was in Washington DC recently and I went to one of the monuments and a food truck was selling slushes for $10 and smoothies for 15. A guy with an ice cream cart was selling creamy popsicles for five dollars each. Of course it’s a tourist spot and they always overcharge at tourist spots.

In the US a Fair is like a canival but it also has agricultural and farming exhibits, cooking and baking exhibits, sewing and art exhibits, sometimes rodeos, equestrian events, even sheep sheering events, working and herding dog competitions. There are competitions in all the exhibits so you could win a blue ribbon for your grandma's raspberry jam, pie, cake, cookies, bread, cinnamon rolls, etc. There are sometimes competitions of sauces, salsas and chutneys too. There are State Fairs and County Fairs and occasionally City Fairs. They are really fun but it can take a whole day or more to see all the exhibits and a whole week in a County like Los Angeles. Some even include grilling competitions. I was traveling through the US for 14 months at one point and all through Autumn, I would catch every County Fair I could find. One even had a sprint-car race and a side hack race in the evening after the events ended.

@paulayala48164 ай бұрын
Where I used to live in Diamond Bar, CA, the city would put on a carnival. Actually a "Round Up", so called because the cattle owners, our neighbors up the street, would round up their cattle and move them down to another field to graze. They would usually hold a big parade with the cattle and cowboys leading the way to the next field. Although a certain percentage of the cattle would not make the journey to the next field, but instead end up being honored lunch and dinner guests at the round up. Seriously, sounds kind of gruesome today, but it was the best ribs, burger, steaks around. There was always plenty of great food. Sadly those days are long gone, just a memory now.

Elephant ears and funnel cakes are both basically the result of pouring a pitcher full of something a lot like pancake batter, into a large vat of hot oil. Carnivals are a blast, especially when you're with a group of friends and/or family. Somehow, at least for me, the more people I'm there with the more fun I tend to have. In the future you guys should try for a state fair. The rides and the food is generally the same, but the state fairs usually also have car shows where you can see some fantastic classic American muscle cars, 4-H & FFA (Future Farmers of America) usually have their baby livestock of kids, calves and/or piglets out to be judged (On what? I'm not quite sure) and an impressive art gallery of local/state artist.

Here fairs have competitions, best jelly, quilt, pie just about anything home made you can think of, it also has animals raised by kids in 4H, the state fair will have prize winning animals raised by adults and it's much much bigger. A carnival is just a place with games, rides and food. It's much smaller. That's not a normal elephant ear, normally they're very light and crispy. I don't know what biscoff is but I'm curious. That funnel cake was HUGE I like the little ones. I love the fresh squeezed lemonade at the fair, not sure why but it tastes better than homemade.
