It was nice to see that Bob Geldof honored Michael with this amazing award because Michael did honor Geldof long before by including him in the "Man in the Mirror video" where Michael showed only very special people who had a major impact on the world in a positive way. They go back before that actually, Bob Geldof was also involved in singing We Are The World which Michael co-wrote with Lionel Richie. Geldof sang as part of the backing chorus and allegedly one of the reasons that Prince didn't perform on the record is that he had issue with the fact that Geldof had supposedly referred to him as a 'creep' beforehand.
