Only the landowner can ask you to leave, correct. The police can only have some authority if it's aggrivated trespass or criminal damage. Amazing how one phone call by immigrants who can hardly speak English, protecting illegal immigrants, in a hotel paid for by English people, can result in a whole van of Police turning up within minutes. If an English person gets burgled and calls the Police, nobody turns up at all.
