Congratulations to you both, way to go Bro, she's stunningly beautiful. I met my wife in the Corps. She was a PFC and I was a Cpl. She was going to Clerk/Typist school and I was with Charlie co, 3rd Amtracs, both at Del Mar. We met one afternoon after hours. I was stretching to go on a run and she came over in PT gear. The conversation went like this: Her: Excuse me, Cpl Me: What? Her: I see you're going for a run. Me: Yes I am. Her: Would you mind if I tag along? Me: If you want. Off we went. As we ran, it hit me! How could she know I was a Cpl?! Long story short, we dated from Dec '76 to Jul '77. I couldn't take it anymore, I proposed and she said yes. I wanted to be sure so I suggested we wait until I picked up Sgt. I was meritoriously promoted in Nov '77. We married 23 Dec 77. Forty three years later, I'm still the happiest, proudest man in the world.

My wife and I were in the USAF together. We also met in the chow hall. Got married at Maxwell AFB, Al in 1969 and we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last year. The USAF brought us together....

Do you think you guys will get based together when you guys get married. My girlfriend and I plan on getting married she left to Marine core boot and I’m leaving to BMT in a few months. And hope that we get based together. What do you think the chances are we get based together and if we don’t do you think a long distance relationship can workout. I personally feel like we can because we’ve loved each other for 2 1/2 years and we talked about this a ton before she left and we both have the same idea for what we want and it’s each other.

My boyfriend just medically retired from the AF last year (we started dating March 2019 shortly after I turned 19) and the beginning of our relationship was him not being ready to let himself be loved after being in an abusive relationship and pushing me away and just having a rough time with life in general (getting med boarded etc) he broke up with me for like a week (pathetic I know 😂) and I stayed friends with him so he could have a safe space to vent and we ended up really confiding in each other a lot. Fast forward and now I'm going into the AF this year with the same AFSC as he had (linguist not sure if I'll be airborne or not though). Relationships like yours last, because you took the time to work on yourself and realized that you did want to be with him and that takes a super high level of maturity. I hope my relationship comes out the same as yours, we still have a long ways before we're ready to get engaged and shit, I'm only 20 so I wanna wait at least until I'm old enough to drink to get married lol
