Thank you for bringing light to this beautiful lady’s story. Please do cover more South African stories because our justice system is soooo flawed. If you can. Please do the Karabo Mokoena case. I grew up with Tshego. She was the most amazing, excited, energetic person with the personality of a golden retriever 😂❤️. I remember the night we heard she was missing. It was scary and stressful but it was all hands on deck to get the word out. Few hours later we got word to put down all missing persons posts because she had been found. We were so relieved, only to find out she was no longer with us 😔. The video of her on the scene started circulating and I couldn’t believe people were actually sharing this on social media 💔. I hope she and baby Kamano are resting in the most perfect peace, together with her parents ❤️

This story is so sad- The hired killer was always very violent. I grew up with him, he was known in the hood as a killer for hire amongst other petty crimes he committed. It is rumored his mother who is a sangoma ( More like a traditional healer ) helped him get away with these murders with her muthi ( like Voodoo). Him finally being behind bars was inevitable he was going to end up there one way or another. It is unfortunate that Tshego ended up being his victim. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

With PTSD/CPTSD our brains are just wired different in order to cope and when 'triggered' or overwhelmed we 'over'react. It's not intentional and even with years of counseling and a lot of self work, it still happens and in the moment there isn't a lot we can do about it. Then we have to deal with all that comes from that... shame, anger, sadness... you name it. Be kind to yourselves and understand that you're wired to protect yourself and emotions can get strong when something feels threatening or 'triggers' us. Trying to calm our nervous system in between these 'episodes' can greatly assist us when we come into these moments. Having a pause button when we start to feel triggered and having a go-to technique to intervene can be helpful too. Engaging our senses can help recenter/ground us. Smelling an essential oil that we find calming, using a tuning fork, noticing objects on the room, reciting a mantra or prayer, a breathing technique etc. It's not an easy 'fix', it's just part of who we are right now. But slowly we can work with disengaging 'fight or flight/survival mode & engage polyvagal relaxation techniques. Have patience and compassion for yourself. 🥰

aw your baby tomatoes 😢 Brittney if a stem breaks dont throw it out, you can place the stem in a glass or jar of water (the broken end submerged in the water) leave it at a window sill that gets decent sunlight and in a few weeks or so the stem will sprout roots and you can replant it in your garden once the roots are strong enough :) I'm a houseplant parent (my living room is a legit jungle lol) every time one of my plant children breaks/snaps a stem I do this, which is why my living room looks like the amazon 😅

I’m only a couple minutes in, listening to your story about your baby tomatoes and I had to pause and send this. Sending you so much love and light. As you inferred, the tomatoes getting snipped off likely felt symbolic of all the other things in your own life and across the world that is out of your/ our control. But take the new little babies coming through as a reminder that tribulations are only for a season. I know it doesn’t remove the hurt of right now, but it will get better. Praying for you and all the people across the world experiencing any ‘baby tomato’ situations or hurt or any kind. Praying for all the lost souls lost in the senseless conflicts around the world. We love and appreciate you Brittney! ❤️

Yaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssss with the Michael Jackson "Human Nature" gurl! Speaking of such, it is human nature to get excited about first growth but be patient with yourself, and the plants, and let the Zen of it all BE deeply present in you and your plants. They'll bloom beautifully and fruitfully for you with calm, happy and positive energy. On this video? Omg I felt physically ill when you said every three hours a woman is killed there.
