Rod and Ron were in a band called Faces. They are two of the three current surviving members. Their albums are legendary examples of musicianship that earned them a place in the Rock& Roll Hall of Fame. After Faces broke up, Rod Stewart became a very successful solo artist. Ronnie Wood joined The Rolling Stones, another legendary band in their own right.

I heard him because of my mum.. she was head over heels for Rod. I totally died of embarrassment as a kid.. when I brought a friend home from school one day... and my mum had a Rod Stewart concert blasting on the television... and there's my mum dancing around the living room.... volume at full tilt.. and her singing her fool head off so loud to HOT LEGS she didn't hear us come in. The look on my friend's face was priceless. She thought my mum was insane.. but loved what she saw and heard. I was dying inside. lol That's all that girl could talk about at school for weeks. 🤣 Geeez....... However.. that being said... it didn't sway me from loving Rod... if anything I have my mum to thank for introducing me to his music. 🥰

Rod Stewart and Ronny Wood playing together in Jeff Beck group, (yeas he is English with a Scottish father) later the faces. In the earlry 70s, about ,1975 Rod was is on is own, and it pays out very well. Maggie May is about when he is 16-17 yo and had his first woman, she tricked him to a tent and it was over, recoding to Rod him self, in about 4 sec, she was much older then him at the time, all of this is on internet, just search on Maggie may and Rod Stewart, its all in there. He has played music since 1962, so for over 50 years he had sold out arenas. He has the record of most attendent Largest Concerts Ever 1. Rod Stewart at Copacabana Beach (1994) - 4.2 million attendees (look it up). So he is one of the biggest entertaiment ever, still selling out arenas at 78...who can do that? This Clip is when he still is in the Faces, so of course he's young, he should be around 25 - 30 years old in this video. Firts time i saw him live in Scandinavium (Gothenburg, Sweden) was in 1981. I want anyone who wants to know more about Rod to do a Google search. Not many artists sell out arenas year after year for close to 60 years. He's 1 in 100, almost like Elvis, Elvis is 1 in 10,000,000. By the way, his house in Beverly Hills is for sale. if you get a lot of people together, you might be able to scrape together the 70 million dollars that the property is worth according to the broker.

You should listen to the Small Faces "black coffee" from the old grey whistle test (a BBC TV programme whose name came from an old grey haired doorman at the building where Carol King et al wrote so many hits.
