He's got a point about practiced immune systems. I got sick multiple times a year all through my early life. When I was about 22 I hit the road and became a dirty homeless traveler hitchhiking and hopping trains all over the country, living out of a backpack, sleeping rough and eating out of trash cans. Suddenly I almost never got sick anymore

It's common knowledge kids have a weak inmune system. It's not you
@aldito7586

And how many times did you get sick anymore? Maybe you got sick because you wanted to get sick. And just maybe you were feeling sick because you were feeling sick?
@mintjulius275
@mintjulius275 Жыл бұрын
@@aldito7586 there's not really any comparison. growing up i legitimately got at least a cold or two every year. to entertain your proposition, even if i was only truly sick half those times as a housie growing up, the fact that once i hit the road and was sleeping in the dirt and literally eating trash and almost never got sick from that point i feel anecdotally supports a practiced immune system
@GaseousWorm
@GaseousWorm Жыл бұрын
@@mintjulius275 like I said before. You hitting the road is just a coincidence. It's a acientific fact children have an under developed inmune system. When I was a kid I remember falling I'll and having fever etc. I'm 40 now and for the last 29 years I haven't fallen I'll as when I was a kid. Maybe once or twice when I got Chikungunya and dengue fever for living in the equator. When. You reach adult Hood your inmune system will the strongest ever, wether you live in a dumpster or in high society. I can predict your future thou. Keep living in a dumpster until you are 50. And your story will change
@matthewatwood207

@@mintjulius275 It's complicated. To a great extent, you're right, but it depends on what you get sick with, much like with allergies. Some things, like the present "non"pandemic, cause immune disfunction. POTS can also be produced by it or any number of other viruses. For me, I don't make enough interferon for my body to learn how to deal with a reinfection quickly, and I don't get any benefit from vaccines, so it doesn't apply at all to me, but for most people, most of the time, with most minor infections, exposure can help a little.

My great-aunt always annoyed us about how medication is useless… she is wrong about that, but she also has a point, she turned 100yo last year. Still doesn't get sick, still walks without a cane, is still more flexible than I am, still kicking. It's honestly borderline horrifying. I don't want to live this long. The one thing that's not keeping up with her is her mind. And also everyone around her.

Terrific reaction, LOL. Carlin always had a way of pointing out the absurdity of things. In his early days, he talked about the 7 words you can’t (couldn’t) say on T.V., or what the hell jumbo shrimp implied. At the end of his life, his humor became more caustic and political, yet still pointed and truthful in the absurdity.

2:19 There are cases throughout history of pardons granted just before the chemicals start pumping, or wrongly convicted people being cleared _the moment_ the needle slips in. If some infection or disease hits them post-release from a dirty needle anyway, that's a legal liability. So that's not actually ridiculous.

Unfortunately Carlin had a history of heart problems spanning three decades. This included heart attacks in 1978, 1982, and 1991; an arrhythmia requiring an ablation procedure in 2003; a significant episode of heart failure in 2005; and two angioplasties on undisclosed dates. On June 22, 2008, at the age of 71, he died of heart failure at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California.

I never get sick, ever... I had an ear infection when I was like 9... thats the only time I was ever sick. Ive had ilnesses, Ive had Covid 3 times, but I wasnt sick. Hell I wouldnt even have known I had it if it wasnt for the daily checkups at work. Covid had absolutly 0 impact on me at all and I had one of the first strain and Delta two times. Allegedly those were the worst ones. I think George is 100% correct. I dont give a fakk about germs, the never caused any problem for me so why would I bother with keeping them away? I mostly had a rather strong immune system to begin with which is why they never bothered me to begin with but Im pretty sure my complete disregard for germs has indeed strenghtened it even further. Dont get me wrong, I dont go out of my way to expose myself to germs. I just dont care about them, they never ever cross my mind unless someone else brings it up-

Old fart here, and I can confirm everything George said (except for the brush). All my life I never worried about cleaning cuts and scrapes right away. All through the "pandemic" I never washed my hands because of the pandemic, I wash them when they are dirty. NEVER IN MY LIFE have I used hand sanitizer or anything else in that line of products. I only wore a mask in places that required it. I rarely ever get sick and I've been that way since I was about 12 years old. My wife will catch something and be on death's doorstep. If I catch it at all from her I just don't feel as good as normal for about 24 hours and then I am good. Usually I don't catch what she gets. Yes, that pisses her off. Your immune system needs practice. That's how it gets strong. Everything you've been taught about what you need to do to keep from getting sick from germs is BS. I've lived it and so has George. He died at 71 years old, but he had also done a lot of drugs.
