Without sin and being perfect are two different things. According to Hebrews, Jesus was made perfect through suffering. He even questioned God on the cross. But none of this is the point of that sign, and you know that. You just want to troll. The point of the sign is, we accept that all people are sinners, and all sinners are welcome. So don't come in thinking you're better than others in the congregation and looking down your nose. Practice humility, and know that you'll be accepted and welcomed. And with that, I'm done with your meaningless baiting.
@triden11723 ай бұрын
@@johncentamore1052 I am not trolling, this is legitimate doctrine. We know from the book of Job that it is not a sin to question God, so long as you continue to obey him. it is never a sin to ask questions! Also, you just admitted through that scripture that Jesus was perfect. his sacrifice was the finishing stroke, the capstone if you will, that completed his utterly perfect life. Without sin = perfect. It's not that hard to understand. If Jesus didn't live a perfect life, we would all be fucked. the only reason we can be redeemed through him is because he lived a perfect life and achieved the kingdom of heaven through his own merit. it is by becoming joint inheritors with jesus that we can even enter into the kingdom of heaven in the first place. If he Isn't perfect, than he cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven, for no unclean thing can enter into God's presence. We are cleansed by the blood of Christ to become joint inheritors with him. Jesus had nothing to cleanse him, because he DOES the cleansing. If Jesus had sinned, than he wouldn't have been perfect, he would NOT have been able to enter the kingdom of heaven, and all of us would be up a creek without a paddle, the entire plan of salvation would be frustrated, and there would be no hope for salvation. By accepting Jesus as our lord and master, we are acknowledging Jesus as the gold standard of how to live, the perfect example for us to follow and learn from. If he wasn't perfect, Than why would we follow him? In Matthew 5: 48, Jesus says, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect." In John 10: 30, Jesus says, "I and the Father are one" If Jesus is one with The Father, than he is perfect, because the father is perfect. Jesus is without sin. That's the whole point of his sacrifice. That is why we follow him. so that we can be cleansed of our sins at the last day, and enter the kingdom of heaven, perfected in him at last. If you truly think that Jesus wasn't perfect, then why are you even following him? Why are you even calling yourself a Christian? Why worship an imperfect man? One cannot wash themselves clean in muddy water. They will only become filthier. Jesus IS perfect. That's the whole point of the entire religion.

Back before the internet or even modern TV boys would find things to do to stay amused. Catching frogs, snakes, chipmunks, and squirrels were on the list and quite a few were boxed during summer days. Usually they only stayed boxed for a couple hours since they were pretty good at getting loose. Parents were pretty good at intercepting the box of critters before they got into the house so they didn't have a reenactment of the Mississippi Squirrel.

I had pet flying squirrels. I grew up in the early 60's near the swamps to the ENE of New Orleans. About an hour and a half from Pascagoula. Paw-paw would set traps to catch them for me. I'd tie a slipknot around the leg and the other end to the loop on my jeans and they spent the next day or so in my pocket until they eventually got away. I did take one to school. It didn't cause a ruckus. Teacher just made me turn it loose on the playground. But she sent a letter home. Maw-maw would make you go pick your own switch off the catawba tree. If she had to go pick a better switch you got two whipping's. 🤣😂🤣

Being a bit more honest than most people liked, I told them if they studied their Bible as much as they studied my clothes, they would've already been raptured. We found a squirrel in our church one day (I think we were cleaning, not on a Sunday). We played this video for the pastor and all had a good laugh. We did get the squirrel out safely (and no one confessed). 😂
