Love your reactions! "All The President's Men" centered around the Watergate scandal. Deep Throat is the actual pseudonym of the person who revealed a lot of what happened, and Tricky Dick is a famous nickname for Richard Nixon. "Deliverance" is a movie about a trip down a Georgia river that goes horribly wrong when the travelers have a very bad encounter with some hillbillies. You're probably actually heard the banjo music from the movie. "Octopussy" is the Bond film released in 1983.

This is some of the most ingenious and funny writing and comedy ever. “All the President’s Men” was about the Watergate scandal. The secret informant was called “Deep Throat”. And the President, Richard Nixon, was derogatorily referred to as “Tricky Dick”. Deliverance is a movie about four “city boys” who canoe down a river in the northern Georgia wilderness, and are tormented by locals. One of the canoers is raped by a local demanding “he squeal like a pig”. There are other ingenious takes, but those two are so far out there!
@scottsnyder2726 Жыл бұрын
Finally, Hitchcock’s movie “Psycho” is widely considered to be a groundbreaking and seminal 😉 movie that heavily influenced future thriller and horror movies. Tame by today’s standards, but ingenious. Anthony Perkins plays a very sick man who dresses up as his mother and then stand to death a motel visitor in the infamous shower scene! Again - brilliant

Deliverance is a story about four Atlanta guys that decide to go canoeing on one of the Georgia rivers. They end up splitting up and two of the men encounter a couple hillbillies (who apparently are inbred) with shotguns - they force one of the men to strip and it is implied they sodomize him, taunting him with the phrase "Squeal Like a Pig". The phrase is very famous.

If I remember correctly, I think the reason the mentioned Pee-Wee Herman is because around that time Paul Rubens had been arrested for indecent exposure. There were adult movie theaters, maybe still are in some parts of the world, but there's none near me anymore; these adult movie theaters would play pornographic films. Allegedly Paul Rubens was at one of these adult movie theaters and was taking care of personal business. There was an undercover police officer there for the purpose of arresting anyone was would do what Paul Rubens allegedly did, so the undercover police officer arrested him. Their joke about, "I saw Pee-Wee's adventure, it wasn't that big," I'm absolutely sure they were referencing the indecent exposure arrest.
