For you it would be a perfect trio if Reba joined them..and you're not wrong. Dolly and Tammy did do a trio album with Loretta Lynn called Honky Tonk Angels which is a great album. Dolly also did a trio album with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris.

AND, TAMMY wrote every song, I believe, that she sang!!! SHE was definitely "The First Lady Of Country Music", and in my opinion, still is! She broke the ground of COUNTRY MUSIC, like a plow breaking soil! She WILL NEVER be replaced! She was literally a MASTERPIECE, body, soul, and that endearing, raspy VOICE! Fantastic reaction, Britt!!!

I said it before & I'll say it again....The Ladies that kicked down the door for female singers; Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn Dolly Parton & Tammy Wynette. Look up the album/cd called "Honky Tonk Angels" Dolly, Loretta & Tammy singing together. The video for "Silver Threads & Golden Needles" is funny. You can tell they were having a great time. Kitty Wells joins them on her song, "It wasn't God who made honky angels". One of the tracks they added Patsy Cline singing "Love sick blues". Another great album to listen to is Trio 1 & Trio 2. It has Dolly , Linda Ronstadt & Emmylou Harris. Want to talk about harmonies, ANY song off these two albums will be heaven to your ears. I own all 3 on cd. I even still have the trio albums(records). I still have my albums plus what my mom had. I just don't have a record player anymore. You need to do more Dolly, Loretta & Tammy. These Ladies put together have a huge catalog of hits it would take you forever to get through. That doesn't include the duets they did. Loretta with Conway Twitty, Dolly with Porter Wagoner, Tammy with George Jones. 6 COUNTRY LEGENDS!! Lets make it 7 & add Patsy Cline to your play list. I could talk your head off about classic country music.

Tammy was married and divorced 5 times so many of the hits were from personal experiences. She died at the young age of 55. That line was me and little J O E will be going away. The first verse which they did not sing sets up the song: Our little boy is four years old and quite a little man So we spell out the words we don’t want him to understand Like t-o-y or maybe s-u-r p-r-i-s-e But the words we’re hiding from him now Tear the heart right out of me. When she said 15 years of number 1 it was multiple songs, not just one song. She also sings duets, one being with her ex George Jones -- Golden Ring.

The third singer would have to be Loretta Lynn (the three of them actually did an album together in 1993). During the 1960s and '70s, Dolly, Tammy and Loretta were the three women who really invented the modern female country performer prototypes and nearly every current female artist cites them as having inspired them.

I think you would probably hope to have Reba in the trio, but the trios that actually DID happen, were Tammy, Dolly and Loretta Lynn who were the 1960s pioneering ladies that were with us along time, since Patsy Cline died so young. Tammy, Dolly, and Loretta did Silver Threads, Golden Needles at an awards show, definitely worth a reaction. Dolly also did two albums with two other legendary ladies, LInda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris and their harmonies are unmatched. Any song with the three of those ladies is amazing.

Also, you should check out the song “Wild Side of Life” by Hank Thompson and the answer/reply song “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels” by Kitty Wells. Talk about some sass! The song was banned on many radio stations when it first came out because Kitty Wells called out the hypocrisy of men’s behavior at that time (1950’s). Kitty Wells was about 10 years before Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton and she blazed the way for all the great female country stars that came after her.

My guess is Reba. You have to check out Linda Ronstadt, She has collected a fistful of Grammys across some 4 or 5 genres. She could sing anything. Country. Rock. Mariachi. Opera. Most reactors on her start with 'Blue Bayou' but I prefer 'Willing' or 'You're No Good'. Before you ask, yes she worked with Dolly too. They teamed up with Emmy Lou Harris to form "The Trio" and released a couple albums.

Yes, you have to check out the original versions of Tammy's hits. She definitely had some really good ones and her voice is so strong. D-I-V-O-R-C-E is very well written and she performs it so soulfuly. A lot of people relate the song to her divorce from George Jones but she actually recorded the song about a year before she and George married.

Add Loretta and you'll have the 3 queens of country music and the best song writers together. The Tammy songs you want to hear the full version of is "Divorce", her and her husband spell out the words they don't want their little boy to understand. And "I Don't Wanna Play House" the little girl plays with the boy next door, and when he suggest playing house she knows it's not fun by watching her own parents.

Gisborne, where I am from got hit hard further up around the coast, and Napier and Hawkes Bay region got hit the worst. Total devastation there. Lives lost, homes flooded to the rooftops.
