That’s amazing her and Toby are best friends but let’s be honest I feel like it’s a little different when your ex is Hayden. Can you imagine Hayden Christensen is your ex and you vacation with him and his new girlfriend. Gut wrenching… no thank you. 😂

I was seriously thinking this same thing when I watched. I was thinking maybe that’s easy with Toby McGuire not Hayden Christensen.

On the flip side; can you imagine dating Hayden Christensen and he informs you that he's going away on a 3.5week (potentially 4.5, we don't know if he went to Jersey) vacation with Rachel Bilson, mother of his child(probably love of his life)& who also isn't currently in another relationship?? Absolutely fucking not lmao

So I think it's better to talk about the stuff now cause back when I was between 7, 8, 9, 10, I knew stuff that I didn't want to know. My mom was very reserved and never talked to me about it even when I was in my 20s. I already learned the other pros and cons of sex ed in middle school. Anyway, I was very close to my mom, but she never talked about it. I was a late bloomer and even now. I see my older sister as a single parent with teenage and a college kid. Her friends has helped her a long the way. She's a teacher and she takes care of everybody. I have no clue how she does it. I'm in awe of single parents. I call her superwoman.

It’s great that she is best friends with her ex-husband and that her new boyfriend is good friends with him and they share that closeness. But what do you do when you’re husband or wife cheats on you how can you have that closeness? I think it makes it really hard to have that connection because of trust issues is my intake, but I’m happy for her and I wish it was the same for myself.but anyways, I love hearing you both. It makes my morning drive very entertaining and easy. Happy summer.

Sex talk has to start very young and be natural. It starts with just the body parts and body safety. Then as they ask questions, you answer age appropriate. Key is to build the foundation so where they feel as comfortable asking a sex question as do do asking what is for dinner. When parents wait too long and just have a big awkward sex conversation, teens will do anything to avoid a conversation like that again. When it's comfortable and natural, they will rather ask you than their friends. I remember my then teenage daughter asking me about anal sex while I was mashing potatoes. I was taken aback but happy they would come to me. Her best friend's boyfriend had told her best friend that even if they didn't have regular sex, anal sex was 100% safe because you couldn't get pregnant or get diseases that way. Obviously diseases are spread more easily through anal, so it was good my daughter told her friend, "Let's check with my mom about that." It is more than sex, but a health issue.

This is not realistic though about the conscious uncoupling. Both have to be willing. The father of my four children walked away. Has anyone else noticed in all the podcasts that Rachel’s favourite saying is 100% or for sure. I do feel she was holding back though as maybe her break up wasn’t as smooth.
@teresataylor8586

Yes I definitely felt like she was holding back something because I know her and her ex vacation together and spend holidays together but she was acting like Jennifer and Toby were so rare for doing what essentially her and Hayden already do. Her reaction seemed like an act to me. Left me scratching my head. I don’t know why she’s so private about that but can talk about her sex life openly. I for one don’t care to hear about her sex life I’d rather hear about how she has a good relationship with her daughter’s father and how she makes that relationship work. I think more people could learn from that rather than who she’s sleeping with.

@@teresataylor8586 It most definitely seemed like an act. Simple answer is that she doesn't care what people know about her sex life, she does however care what people know about her relationship with Hayden, which is fairly telling. Over the episodes it's been pretty clear Olivia is def not a fan of his/Rachel being close to him, which is unfortunate/sad if there has been some healing. I've found it odd since last summer there seems to be some effort to downplay how close they are, listen if they managed to work things out & rekindled I'd be all for it(conjecture, I know). That said, we barely ever see them in public or interacting anymore so for all we know they don't have that good of a relationship or barely tolerate each other for Briar's sake. She'd never be able to say so bc let's be honest, the star wars fans would absolutely come for her.

@@jlancerx see I always felt like Olivia likes him. I feel like when Olivia has mentioned him it’s always positive. Rachel spent at least 2/3 weeks with Hayden and his family this summer. She was posting stuff and so was his sister of them together. Seems like his family really loves her.

@@teresataylor8586 she can be subtle about it, it comes out here and there though, plus there were those odd exchanges last summer when she was buying a house and Rachel was in Canada. I have zero doubt the Christensen's love her, that's abundantly clear, but in terms of how they themselves interact we just have no idea. Like I said, I'd love to see them heal, be happy & have their family back together, I always thought they were a solid unit, but they're very private so we may never know
