The ventilation system of this complex is INSANE. They have these deep pools of water with huge domes over them like five stories high and a diaphragm in it that pushes up and down bring cool air into where it needs to go.
@mrsnarwhalbacon Жыл бұрын
Actually, the water in the primary lung isn't to cool it down, it's their fire system. They have a pipe system in its basement that is separate to cool and heat the different biomes. The reason the diaphragm goes up and down is due to warm air taking up more space than cool air....without the lung, the glass would burst open, basically imploding
@nokiot9 Жыл бұрын
@@mrsnarwhalbacon I didn’t say that was it’s function. I said it moves the air. Correct though, they have like a mile of tunnels that have dozens of evap coolers and other equipment to control the air quality and temp.

I made it a priority to visit Biosphere 2. It's actually a pretty big place. During the Pandemic my sister stayed in her house with only her husband for over 2 years because she does not like people. She left the house only two times, once for a doctor's appointment and once to get her hair done. She never even went outside once into the backyard or stuck her head out the front door. I am convinced she could handle a trip to Jupiter no problem.
