(Abmiral's Log--From Admiral and Jedi Knight Erika Forcestar of the Silver Hand) This is Admiral Erika Forcestar of the Silver Hand Rebel Covert Ops Cell, currently with the Fabricator (Our Mobile Factory) over Raxus Prime. Even out here, news that Kuat fell is the hot topic round the fleet and it's boosted morale to an astounding degree. Even the thought of getting a Mandator for their trouble has made me kinda jealous. We may be a Covert Ops cell, but we rarely see any action outside of routine surveillance and gathering intel. I'll be heading into Mandalore to meet an old friend, to see if the Mandalorians are up for regaining their honor by fighting the Empire with the Rebellion instead of with the Black Suns. Anyways, from the sounds of it, Mon Mothma has got a mission for us once again, so we'll be going dark for a while. This is Admiral Erika Forcestar, signing off.

Shack, remember, once a hardpoint is destroyed, you can't repair it. That one Nebulon-B lost a hardpoint, that's why it looked like it wasn't being healed. And I mentioned this before, but I'm bringing it up again, not all corvettes in this mod are anti-fighter units. The Corellian corvettes the Black Sun uses, with the black engine section and grayer overall hull, are modified with heavier weapons to fight big ships while leaving them weaker against fighters. In fact, the basic CR-90 corvettes you use are better suited as support against big ships then fighters, though they are still fairly good against fighters. I can tell you from experience that Imperial Carrack Cruisers are NOT good against fighters, I've tried that in my Imperial campaign and they die before they land a single shot when fighting even the slow Y-wings. However, the thinner, more lightly colored Lancer Corvettes are the best anti-fighter unit the Empire has, possibly the best any faction has if you take speed into account, so do watch out for those.

Keep in mind, the repair ships can't repair subsystems that have already been destroyed. That's why the Nebulon's health bar wouldn't go any higher.

The Hapans are getting more aggressive. Alderaan was a bold move after seeing a Mandator pass through, and although they were cowed at the sight of the dreadnaught, they'll still be a thorn in your side until you blockade them like the Corsec. I'll add a request as well, as taking Hapes will allow you to build Battledragons, the perfect answer to your request for a more powerful long range warship. Their combined rapid fire Ion and Turbo Lasers make them a real threat to ISDs, and assuming they don't get rushed down or outflanked, will usually come out on top. Their fighters also make a great match for the fleet, using an engine boost to assure victory in dogfights. To top it off, if things get hairy their Ion Cluster Bombs can make enemy fighter and bomber squadrons slow and stunned prey for your fighter groups. I hope you consider this suggestion towards our victory. Long live the New Republic.

This is Combat Officer Sethinal stationed on Bothuwai, still using the hidden radio station. This message is meant for Captain Shack of the Liberation to share with all of the Rebel Alliance. My men and I are still holding fine here on the planet. We still don't like the sight of the 3 ISDs that are in orbit. What could be so important here that they would stay here for weeks? Well any who, I want to personally congratulate all of the Alliance. We have made great progress in this war. Every sacrifice has not been in vain. But we did get one heck of a scare a couple weeks back. We saw the Executor in orbit of Bothuwai. My men dove for cover when they saw it, thinking that an orbital bombardment was going to rain down from it. We did take precautions just in case. But after a few days, it jumped to hyperspace. After first we were relieved, but then we noticed it was heading where more of our fleets were. My men and I prayed with The Force that everyone will survive it. If you are getting this Captain Shack, then that means the Rebellion was successful of at least holding it off. If that is the case, then we indeed have a real chance at winning this war. I hope to fight along side you before this war is over Captain. Until then, this is Combat Officer Sethinal, awaiting your arrival.

Greetings, Captain Shack. I am most impressed by your capture of Kuat and the defeat of the Imperial task force sent to hunt the Mandator down at Kashyyyk.. The Imperials were complacent and have been humiliated before the galaxy. One of the Imperials' weaknesses is that they constantly act like they already won and the resulting complacence the rebellion can exploit. I was surprised that Admiral Piett decided to risk the Emperor's and Vader's wrath by swallowing Imperial pride, and retreating the mighty Imperial flagship once the battle was lost instead of dying pointlessly refusing to admit defeat.. That's good for the Empire and not good for us. The Executor can be repaired. The more intelligent Imperials are beginning to realize that the rebellion is a serious long lasting threat and the destruction of the Death Star was not a fluke. This war just got harder for the Alliance.The situation remains dire for the rebellion. Make no mistake. We are still operating on a shoestring budget compared to the endless funds of the Empire and Black Sun. Corruption remains a endemic problem. Intelligence shows that corrupt slavers have spotted on Kashyyyk again. Minor factions such as the Hutts and the Corporate Sector remain nagging problems tying up resources. The galactic southwest bases remain cut off, neglected, and lack strong support from capital ships.. Despite the golden propaganda victories at Kuat and Kashyyyk, many in the galaxy remain unconvinced that the rebellion can win. Those old enough to remember the Clone Wars remember the Malevolence destroying whole Republic fleets and the Separatists launching massive raids against the Core worlds but the Separatists still lost in the end. Not until we take and hold multiple Core worlds will the people of the galaxy be convinced that we can win. But that is a long way off.I am particularly excited for the development of artillery for the rebellion to crack open those turbolaser towers. Turbolaser towers have foiled far too much rebel raids on otherwise lightly defended worlds. Also, artillery is vital for an army to destroy harder targets.I hear you desire to keep the Mandator at Kuat to defend the new shipyards. It is fine. However, you should continue to monitor the neighboring star systems to opportunities to strike once Kuat is fortified. Nearby strong but otherwise isolated space stations and shipyards as well as moderate sized fleet concentrations could be targets of opportunity. Watch out for hypervelocity cannons and the Executor. Admiral Piett is no doubt burning for a rematch.I think we need to shore up our supply lines from attacks by the minor factions and the Black Sun soon. Good luck Captain.

Hey Captain great video love it so I had a plan that you might want to do since Nike and build really good infantry when you get a level 3 headquarters make sure you get kamino in action there are a lot cheaper for the units and it may help you out, also if memory serves me correctly Princess Leia as a stealth unit but also makes things cheaper so try to get her to kuat shipyards to make that ion cannon cheaper. And I know you said you may stop building fighters but build a couple of fighters and put them on Kuat to help. Love your channel can't wait for your next video!!! May the force be with you

Holo-Log Entry 1. Week 83. So my brother, the one responsible for getting my roped into this crazy mess, has been bothering me about keeping a log since we deployed. Well, im finally giving in. The good brother is currently on newly freed Kessel. Wont shut up about how comfortable he some how is in a space slave mine labled as 'prison'. He always did like roughing it to the extreme, though, and no one can hold a line together like he does. I have been with the Liberation for a while, mostly helping around with errands and pulling in supplies from shuttles. And holy smokes the ungodly amounts of supplies we bring on. I dont think I want to see another bag of coffee ever again. Moans aside, It gets boring up here. unless your a gunner, officer or a pilot, the most you can expect from a battle is that sense of impending doom that comes with hearing the ship get hit. After too many transfer requests (and an 'expired' batch of coffee) I finally got assigned to a ground mission, way out on the Tingel Arm. Blast, what was I thinking!?... Bonadan. Oh Bonadan. I thought a bunch of corporate goons would be easy, they'd give up at the first sign of trouble. No use getting payed if you wont alive to spend it, after all. Except They Didn't run. They stayed. They stayed right under their blasted Turbo Laser Towers. How did intel miss those!?!? We lost a lot of good men from just one simple screw up. Kor Damrel. Shol Draken. Krie Stormrider. Jo'sk. Some of the best speeder pilots I have ever known. Not to mention the two squads that nearly got decimated. All gone to those blasted towers. Oh, and we lost Bob. Again. I swear, hes like the unspoken mascot of the rebellion. Worst navigator I have ever met, too. How (and why) the droids keep reviving him, I will never know. That does it for this entry. Not sure if I will keep up on this. Could be a while before I get some more down time. The Siege of Bonadan is going to be rough...

GR-75 repairs only repair ships, I think, and it doesn't restore destroyed hardpoints. Escort Carriers have an ability to heal fighters, but again, it doesn't restore destroyed fighters and the ship needs to be in the thick of it. In that first space battle, when you sent in the B-Wings, there was a CROC waiting for them. Glad Black Sun retreated. CROCs can be engaged better with ion cannons, last I checked. I think there was an update that made it so you can target them with torpedoes, too. LOL The Hutts took the Maw right on your screen. That's what happens when you have front lines with no space defenses. :-P Splitting your fleet into multiple is a good idea, but I'd make sure to have one big ship to hyper in first and tank Hypervelocity Cannon and Plasma Gun shots. I don't think your Liberation fleet has anything that can tank those. I also think your Home One fleet doesn't have enough ships. Maybe one more Mon Calamari Cruiser; a Liberty-type (winged) to slug out beside Home One, maybe, plus one or two Quasars (discounted at Sullust hint hint). Or you could take Sullust, tech up to level 3, and get a Dauntless. Great video as usual, Shack!

When you're on the defence Shack, build a shield MDU and put one artillery in front and one in back for overlapping fields of fire. You now have a basically an impenetrable defence

Oh hey battle at 29:00 has the character I voice (or more technically will voice in a future update) in it. Strange, the description says that Screed commands a Loronar Assault Cruiser when his Wookiepedia Entry says that he commands the _Gladiator_ class Star Destroyer _Demolisher_ And he’s using a _Gladiator_ in game too. And popped by the Mandator around 34:35. Poor guy can’t catch a break, killed by Zinj in Legends, killed by pirates in canon, and the AI runs him straight into a star dreadnought here. Speaking of Star Dreadnought, I think you did kill the _Executor_ it’s just that there were so many heroes that they went off the display.

Good luck! If you're going to try and hold the orbit of Kuat, build everything you can - ion cannons, big a space station as you can get.. You'll want everything you can to help your bigger ships fortify it if you're going to try and contest it. It's a huge target so you don't want to risk your fleet being overwhelmed. So put everything you can then if you're going to just try and hold the skies.

hey shack, good engagments. I recommend sending all ground forces from kashyyyk to the north in attempts to secure mandalore and assist if needed in the conquering of the remaining corporate sector. after that threat to your north is complete you can more effectively wage war against the empire in the core or the black sun in the outer rim as you chose. Also i think you should utilize the light factory you have on raxus as it would give excellent frontline troops to keep the enemy from reaching the artillery line and would be far cheaper than building only t3-b improved as your front line. as well as building the mon cala troops for shields or turrets to help protect the artillery line as well.

They put all the Mandators in the Yoden mod and so i did a Rebel vs Empire vs CIS space battle. One Mandator 2 took on an Eclipse class star destroyer and won. I have a lot of love for those star dreadnaughts now.

if you become NR, you can build new ship classes such as mediator, mc90s, etc. and mining facility on planets that can build that for credits, and NR barracks/NR Governor Palace

So what you need is capital ships to be their own bar for space (support and capital bars instead of one reinforcment bar). If this is done you may want to do the same with vehicles and ground troops, or troops and hero's/armor. It really is the only way to balance super ships though, imagine being able to have a decent support fleet, fighter screen, carriers, MCs or star destroyers with a super ship would just make it unkillable. Oh as a note, the empire women with the black hair has an experimental gunship with bobba fetts, push to kill fighters button.

I don't really know much about that mod but you could also use bombers/fighters or other units which have ion Torpedos. They should be able to take the SSD's shields and the engines down

And you need to build your space station on kuat and get your capital ships built there so you can also defend

With the death of many Imperial Hero's at Kashyyk it may be possible to defend Kuat in Space. If you are going to do that you will need to quickly spend credits to make it defensible. I think it is a good idea to separate the fleets, for now they will act as a reactionary force more then a invasion. I still believe the north is the upmost priority in capturing and holding, for now Rebels will have to hunker down and build up some defenses. To get more credits recommend building Rebel Intelligence center to obtain Rebel sympathizers, and spy's. To the South recommend making Rebel Spec ops and do damage to the planets to the West it would be harder for the Empire to attack you and the Black sun to attack you. Keep taking out the corruption it is an unfortunate parasite of the Black Sun.

Glad to see the modders implemented a contigency battlegroup to avoid a roflstomping, but I would like to see it more flushed out, for example by an intercepted message from the Imperials that the Emperor is displeased with the lack of progress and is using his most ambitious officers against one another to gain more influence as they muster their own battlegroups. And on the the battlefield more diversity with more carriers, cruisers and land battles with more units to really put the pressure on as the core worlds have been penetrated by rebels

Shack please build quasars...When you get tech 2 youll be able to upgrade them to have A-Wings and B-Wings and they will absolutely slaughter. They are 3200 to build and 3300 to upgrade. But dont fret, as X-Wings and Y-Wings continue to be effective for awhile [since the AI doesnt attempt to swamp you with defenders] so Quasars have a long effective life. Get some artillery in your ground army, youll be able to grind through turbo towers. A Level 3 Space Station with two XQ-3 Defense stations can actually hold their own very easily and can be used as effective deterrents for a time. In fact if supported with 3 or 4 Quasars you would be able to destroy fleets number with 15+ capital ships fairly easily. As long as you target shields and hangers first [you dont need to target hangers against the Empire as youll chew TIE with X-Wings but against the Black Sun...Well thats a different story.] Sell your Ion Cannons as most of the time they are not effective. They are a money drain that doesnt pay for itself. Build them only when you get a mission and only when that missions pays well. MC60 and above are worth. MC40s and below, not so much, unless its free quasars. Seriously, re-spawnable fighters are key for the Rebellion early on. This allows you to effectively hit and run in space. Which can really make a difference for your thin space forces. Come in with 4 or 5 Quasars. Blow up a ship or two. [Depending on the enemy fleet you might even be able to down the space staion] Retreat. Repeat as necessary. This can keep your fringe planets clear of threats. give you a sort of early warning against enemy fleets, unless you just constantly use Y-Wing scouts on bordering planets to keep eyes on. But right now you dont have the eco for it. You can get the cash you need to build the first couple quasars by selling some ships. Prime targets include the Nebulon Bs and some of the spare aged fighters you have. To be able to have what is effectively a repair ship with 4 X-Wings and 4 Y-Wings is well worth the temporary loss in fleet.
