Last week, last month, 8 months ago… they still said nothing. It took for us to point it out, to force them to say something. And all she said was is “we fleeced you 8 months ago lol we didn’t do it for this update we just did it because we wanted to” Which to be fair, makes more sense than us thinking they did it for 7.6 I guess they are not that tactful after all.

Pricing changes, no matter how small, ARE something that should be broadcast. Because that's people's real money that's being dealt with. If you don't, you look like you're trying to fleece people.

it would be better, that we can change hairstyles etc. with free price. Its would be Ok that Race swap cost about 500/400CM.

It should be free for the next month. Introducing sweeping changes to character creation long after we've designed our characters how we want them to look in such a way that those characters no longer look how we wanted them to look means that at the very least character customization should be free for the next month.

I'm pretty sure the email I got said if you ARE subscribed you don't need to do anything but if you are not subscribed you need to log in to each character..

They really need to fire Jackie. For someone whose job it is to "communicate," she's horrible at it. I miss the older CMs. They at least talked to us like adults and didn't gas light us.

I ran thru all my characters this last week. I have 15 characters but only play 9 of them every week. Taking the servers down for 5 hours doesn't bother me as I have appointments that morning anyway. May the Beard be with you!

Mac client update is a bit disappointing they said a few weeks prior during the live stream that they wanted to have it either out to release or open beta in a few weeks.. that was a few weeks ago (so that would be now) all we have now is a new statement saying in a few weeks they want to do an open beta lol so a few more weeks wait apparently

These coming sales are nice! I just am not sure why is character appearance modification tied to cartel coins currency only. This could seriously have credits currency as a second option, especially since that is on its own tied to real money, as you cannot really use credits you make unless you pay for sub due to credits escrow, which is another lot of issues on its own, but together with appearance modification this it is a double trouble. I wish they stop artificially creating problems and selling solutions, and start creating content and sell us that instead. But real content gets pushed back, delayed, and underdelivered, because efforts and resources are put into these kinda of shifty shady business things they only communicate when caught and exposed... 100% you nailed it! Their priorities are off. Do they need to make money? Yes. Should be more transparent? Yes. Should they learn to balance content vs microtransactions....hell yes.

It would really have been nice of them to tell us WHY the 7.6 story content is being delayed; I think everyone already figured it out (almost certainly due to the game voice actors' strike) and would be patient if we had more info. But of course, nothing SWTOR's team does surprises me anymore.

Yep! I remember other game devs talk about the possibility of delays because of past VA strikes. Swtor seems to always keep everything close to the vest. Which has always been an anchor tied to them.

I love how Jackie equates increasing prices with a sale. "We communicate price decreases. But you cannot 'digest' a price increase, so we say nothing." Thank you, Jackie, for putting the BS in Broadsword.

Somehow this feels like gaslighting. I suggest content creators take regular audits and screen shots with appropriate time stamps to verify statements like - "we made that change eight months ago." Without evidence its hard to prove them wrong. I think they count on people not noticing. It someone has screen shots from the time and release in question that contradict the official statement is would be fascinating to watch.

Friendly reminder that in most other MMOs (WoW, OSRS/RS3, GW2, LOTRO, etc), character customization is completely free. But in SWTOR if I want a new look it can cost $10.

What is so hard to understand about the need to scale back the monetization? You buy something in the shop, and then you have to pay half again to use it across your account. Want to change the color of an armor you've bought? Please pay again. Want to trim your beard? Here comes another bill (90% off, OOOH SHUT UP BROADSWORD!). The game won't work like this anymore, especially not when we get these things, or parts of them, for free in other MMOs. And then they secretly raise the prices and try to justify it with such a blatant excuse? Do they think we're that stupid? They produce one piece of bullshit after another. EA should finally pull the plug, either completely replace the dev team or shut down the game. Secretly raising prices, and then justifying it in this way, such audacity is unmatched. I am soooo pissed off.

All they need is more communication. They really need some people to show their faces and speak up. They no longer under Bioware. Their own studio. They got more responsibility. If they fail is their fault no bioware shenanigans. They need speak up have every week stream talk about random stuff. Invite streamers . Give stuff away. Something keep people on the loop. Again is all on them nowm

Well, "hey guys, price adjustments - " and the adjustments made in a simple table. That would be good. The adjustments have to be planned somehow, likely in a simple spreadsheet, and that could just be exported and shared. Of course, implementation is a database push, but the designers have to tell someone what to change in a communicable format.... Pretty condescending - "would be rather difficult to communicate in a way that is effective and digestible" my ass. "We don't think you all can read, so we just quietly do what we want when we want." What I'm actually kind of seeing here is typical developer behavior. I work in software development myself and I see this kind of stuff all the time. No proper internal documentation, poor communication, no one wants to do "grunt work" basic chores, etc. They can dump patch notes from tools that generate them during build (if they're smart), but these pricing changes are "just quick tweaks" and we're slackin' our way through our day so... meh.

can't digest the idea of them increasing prices? that is some grade A bullshit right there. it doesn't matter if the players can digest it or not.... any and all changes to the game however small or large should be recorded in detail and posted for all users of the game to read every single time it happens. like what is with the incompetency?

Any change to an active service should be prefaced with patch notes. Changing of configuration and pricing IN the game, is a patch note. I've seen people post things as simple as "changed the spelling on this one about page nobody actually reads" because if they don't, people freak. Changing pricing in-game is noteworthy and requires nothing but a forum thread on active changes people who are interested in can subscribe or follow or, as you mention; twitter. Not posting it is just lazy or deceptive and the explanation is disingenuous. Big L.
