While I commend you for you emphasis on safety gear, I totally agree, I really think your promoting something here that gives our sport a bad name. If riders want to do the this, just do like marathon runners do, get permits set a date and get the street shut down for a few hours and have fun. And, your sarcasm toward the OneWheel rider says more about you than it does about the OneWheeler. I own both an EUC and a OneWheel, I love them both, but the OneWheel is hands down more fun to ride and better exercise even though lacking the speed and range of the EUC, and is certainly no more dangerous than the EUC when speed is added to the equation. On a less soapboxy note, you and Hsiang have the beginnings of a "Wide World of Sports/ESPN thing going on here, you did a good job. Steer that event in the right direction, get some of those restaurants along the route on board and this could be big. Possibly draw people from all over the country. You're certainily in the right city to be able to make it draw people.
