I tried to make one but couldn't do it. I found other ways to realize my conviction to carry on that idea of setting kids free of mind. In my own way I carried on their legacy, and "my kids" blossomed, learned to think and stand up for themselves and what they understood was right. They are one of my greatest accomplishments in this world and some of my greatest treasures. I know many others were moved to do the same. The Billy Jack movies came out when I was in those awkward high school years and they changed my life. I had always tried to follow the doctrine of, “What Would Billy Jack Do?” And that had a lot to do with my growth as a person. To be fair though, the title of this clip should be “Billy Jack and Bong Soo Han to the Rescue.” Master Han stunt doubled for all the complex Hapkido kicks in the films. His technique was amazing, and he helped to make Billy Jack the bad ass that he was!

Actually the first Billy Jack movie was "Born Losers" where Billy takes on a motorcycle gang. You can get "Born Losers" "Billy Jack" "The Trial Of Billy Jack" & "Billy Jack Goes To Washington" all on dvd in one set. I have mine, & these movies REALLY hit home for me, as I myself am Native American & my sister is full Cherokee, & my mom was a full Shawnee. These movies weren't so much about race as they were about how the white man broke most if not all the treaty's they signed & they took away what WAS Indian land. But it was through the "Billy Jack" movies that got me to take an interest in not just the martial arts but Hapkido the same kind that was used in the "Billy Jack" movies.

As a famous philosopher named Tuco once said: "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk." I believe a relative of his also said, "You can get more with a kind word and a spin kick than with just kind word."

I remember seeing Billy Jack in a theater a year or two after I got out of the Army in 1970. The song from the movie "One Tin Soldier" got some airplay on radio at the time. I later saw one of his earlier films "Born Losers" which was a good film.

Bong-Soo Han , the stunt double, and actual performer of those fights in the Billy Jack movies: August 25, 1933 - January 8, 2007. RIP Tom did study martial arts, and did eventually get a black belt, but was not capable of what you see in his movies.
