'Hot for Food: 200 Recipes to Cook Up Some Vegan Love'. Yes, I'm waiting for that book, or any other book title with all of your recipes in it. I love this channel! I hope you know that you have not only shown that a plant-based diet is incredibly varied and delicious, but you've also inspired many to have fun in the kitchen. That's what I've been doing lately and everything I've made has been amazing. All it takes it a little knowledge, practice, knowing the flavors you enjoy, and a small amount of intuition.
@Vici2338 жыл бұрын
I often make hot for food recipes and I don't use oil. Often, I just leave it out. Like when I make the cheese sauce, I just add a little bit more water/milk than Lauren does, so it will be the same consistency. Or I'll sauté things in water instead of oil or bake them instead of frying them.I just prefer not using oil at home. When you want to avoid a specific ingedient, I recommend getting used to finding ways to substitute it. You CAN still make Laurens recipes. Just like you can make any non-vegan cake by substituting egg for flax egg, milk for plant-mailk and butter for vegan butter.

Ew, your health must be disgusting if you think substituting fat for something healthier is "disgusting". Try eating healthier, it actually tastes better :)

i know someone that almost died from not having any fat in their diet, so if i want a tablespoon of oil i don't think i'm being unhealthy.
@Vici2338 жыл бұрын
MysticalAmber duh, its not going to kill you. but nuts, seeds and avocados are better sources, since oil has a direct negative impact on your endothelial cells and is very refined and processed and devoid of any fibre and low in nutrients.
@MysticalAmberMC8 жыл бұрын
i don't care i'm still going to use oil, because nuts, seeds and avocado are super expensive here. I'm going to die anyway so i'm going have something that tastes good.

when you brought up the oil I wanted to sing to the heavens haha I am an olive oil girl and I grew up with it and I use it as much as you do fir sure! So much vegan hate in oil! I mean I understand but....haha when I first started watching HotForFood I seriously honest to gosh thought to myself "I wonder how many people have given her shit over the oil" 😂😂😂😂 and the salt moment...yes girl yes, life has to be enjoyed

I've been binge watching all of your cooking videos. I'm not necessarily going vegetarian, but to get healthier and make small life changes my boyfriend and I are doing every other meal as either meatless or full on vegan.
