Michelin, because they make tires, awhile ago was partially a travel guide esque company. So the company started writing first guides for the best places to go in all of europe, and later guides by city of the best restaurants and hotels in major cities in the world. So a michelin rating means a place has made it into the Michelin city guide for that year (huge accomplishment) and gotten some sort of rating on how they stand up to everything else in that city guide :) #themoreyouknow

I made these for dinner tonight mostly following the recipe (I didn't have Old Bay so used Tony Cechere's instead). They could not have been a bigger hit with my family ~ SO delicious!!! Super fun video, great recipe ~ thank you so much for sharing!

@shamelush8 жыл бұрын
+Petite Chinoise To me, no. It definitely looks like crab cakes, but it reminds me of vegan chicken nuggets-they look like the real deal, and taste amazing, but not 100% the save. I think artichoke bites would be a more appropriate name, however, they're delicious, and I would recommend making them asap.

Okay people, I tried baking two of these and fried the rest. I baked at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes, flipping halfway through. The outside got crunchy but the inside didn't stay as moist as the shallow-fried ones. Bake them for convenience, they will cook through, but they definitely turn out better fried.

It is the same Michelin! Back when they first started making tires, Michelin (French company) decided that people would use their tires more if you gave them places to go, so they printed out little guides to restaurants and attractions to give out. The guides were well-received and became an entity into their own; eventually it became a big deal to get in the guide, the scope of the guide became bigger, and it became A Thing.

Made these for dinner guests tonight and they were a big hit. A couple of modifications -- added some powdered seaweed for a more ocean-y taste and I put some caramelized onions on top before the sauce -- which was really good. But the what doesn't go great with caramelized onion. Instead of fries I had a potato gratin (Happy Pear KZbin recipe) and a nice fresh salad.

I finally made these. They were reminiscent of crab cakes but they tasted much better. My dredging station was really messy, I don't think I drained the artichokes long enough. But the method was sound because they fried up to golden perfection. So Thank you for an awesome recipe! Also, I've been making that chickpea chickenless salad for a long time but it's so much better with your additions of Old Bay and lemon juice.
