I met him years ago when everyone just assumed that he was a jerk and didn't appreciate fans. And the day that I met him was the day before WrestleMania XX, when after the following night, he wasn't sure whether he was going to actually make it with the Minnesota Vikings (which obviously he didn't, and then became UFC Champion as we all know). I was 12 or 13 at the time, but Brock was EXTREMELY KIND to me after The Rock's Security Guards at the New York City Hilton had basically shoved me to the ground attempting to get his autograph. Brock was acting like a human being, not some massive celebrity (which he absolutely was), and had no problem signing the autograph even though he was on his way out of the hotel with somewhere to go (maybe dinner or something). The difference between Brock and The Rock is that The Rock required security guards to surround him so he wouldn't have to interact with more than a couple of fans (small children and attractive women were the only "fans" he seemed to sign anything for). Brock was by himself, walking through the lobby. No cameras, no fanfare. Nobody covered the fact that this guy was a decent human being after a kid like me just had one of his then-heroes (The Rock) treat him like a piece of trash that just needed to be swept away. I've appreciated Brock since that day, and have tried my best to correct the record regarding what Brock is REALLY like. His true persona is finally starting to come through on TV, but he was absolutely a sweet, affable man when I really did need a morale boost considering what I'd gone through mere moments before. Brock Lesnar is a VERY down-to-earth guy.

People that are mortgage free, own outright, 6 figs in the bank are that are tall and confident don't possess the inherent cognitive fragility that you do. People have a tendency to judge others by their own failings and fragility. Brock is merely an experiment of "what if we took any guy and just juice him to the gills how would that transfer across?" That's all. It transfers obviously, freakish strength granted but zero gas tank. Slow enough moves to see coming from before you got in the ring. Some he seems to phone in a week before. Its as you'd expect. Its not envy its steroids and growth hormone (which if you ask women, they don't find the look attractive) so no thanks. My ego has never felt the need for roids. Man, I wish you talked about pro wrestling more, just the fact that you call it "Pro Wrestling" and not just WWE or, god forbid, "sports entertainment" warms my heart. But I guess hearing about it once a year is better than nothing, and also keeps it somewhat special, but still... And you talked about a lot of stuff I liked too, Stone Cold was great, on both nights, along with KO, and Austin Theory and Pat McAfee (my lord he was awesome) and honestly, Vince too, I had a lot of fun watching them. Ditto Logan Paul, what a performer. The Jackass match was really fun as well, kudos to Wee Man, with THE BEST bodyslam since Hulk Hogan in Wrestlemania 3 😂 Thank god for Sami Zayn, what a legend (got his own back too, kicked the poor little man square in the face moments after 😂😂). But the highlight of the weekend was Cody for me, and mostly the way they treated him. If you had told me ahead of time that they would keep his gimmick exactly the same as it was in AEW I would laugh in your face, while secretly hoping they would. Must have felt great for him to have it his way, which we all know is the best way, and it was absolutely epic to watch. Would love to know what you thought about all that...

@@lilchappa9209 yes you're right it isn't really offensive if you refer to it either way. But not referreing to it as just WWE means the person you are talking to understands that there is more to pro wrestling than just wwe which, as a hardcore, i appreciate. As for the sports entertainment part, i mean, it's a corporate term exclusive to wwe, and it reminds me of what they do to the people they hire to wrestle, turning them from pro wrestlers into superstars who do not do the wrestling but, rather, do the "sports entertaining" (i guess). And it sucks most of the time (thank God they didn't change Cody, YET, there's still time for them to fuck him up too, i hope i didnt jinx it). Nah man, Lesnar was the most incomplete megastar athlete in the UFC. The man was mobil, sure, but he had little to zero countering ability, and was prone to gassing out at times. If Lesnar was able to fix those issues and stay in the UFC for a few more yrs to prove himself, that's a strong maybe. But lets face it, the reason why Brock won his fights was his size, the man was huge and knew how to use it to his advantage. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think even Chael himself said the same thing about Brocks collegian wrestling back when he was younger. Dunno if he would've been much if he didn't have that size helping him.

They've carried that on and it's better for the talent because there were points where matches had to be cut from the card from lack of air time. And in recent years, the entire event was like 6 hours long so breaking it into two separate nights makes it easier on the audience.

The people whining about fighter pay need to take a look at how the WWE does it, which is a solid explanation as to how the UFC works... Vince and Dana GIVE YOU A PLATFORM FOR SUCCESS, it is UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL, TO MARKET THEMSELVES. That is how you make money as an ENTERTAINER. Professional fighting isn't a career, its a high-stakes hobby that can make you some money on the way.

So why does Dana not allow the fighters to advertise like they used to? If it's just a platform why restrict them?

Bruh horrible comparison. Ufc fights are not just entertaining they’re literally gambling with their lives in the octagon. Sure WWE wrestles can get get hurt but they aren’t taking elbow and knees to the skull. They should pay all ufc fighters a minimum amount to cover camp and hospital fees.

WWE doing back to back wrestlemanias isn't from the UFC. The idea came from New Japan Pro Wrestling who does their equivalent of wrestlemania called Wrestle Kingdom.

I have been trying to get into prog wrestling but just can't anymore. I was a huge fan back around 2004 - 2012 era but something happened and that was also the time I got into MMA. I still appreciate the in ring actions, although it can get corny at times, but its the story line that bothers me. Some are just soo corny and uninteresting. Especially when they doubled down on not cursing because of kids. I am mostly talking about WWE here. I know AEW and TNA are/were good.

Uncle Chael i love you man. I always listen to your cnc-accuracy predictions and elegant pronunciations of fighters’ names, but your criticisms and praises for wwe are incoherent. A fight that is choreographed to look like a real fight is bland, and fans will just opt to watch real fighting or mma. Wwe is supposed to be watched with suspension of disbelief, unless you think it’s real, with which you expect to see moves that are non-replicable in real fights. I agree that too much of flips can devalue wrestling moves, but in moderation and with proper storytelling the suplexes, flips, stunners, cutters, chops, superkicks, dives and so on are really good. Those who dislike them can tune in to ufc, one, bellator or Chael’s fight championship. DC thinks so too.

I seriously think the last episode I ever watched was a smackdown where HHH was dressed up as Kane fucking a girl in a casket..... It's very infamous now lol It became too much like my mom's soap operas. I was an attitude Era baby lol But recently I started keeping track of the story's and some highlights. Mostly bcuz of AEW
