My boyfriend and I spent the summer listening to this album everyday in Austin, TX. It evolved into the soundtrack of our days, and I have the sweetest memories associated with it. Summer in Austin is already beautiful, but it's simply spectacular when adorned with this album. Forever grateful for Alice and her band, they're just the best and always look like they're having a great time.

Same. The production on Glow onward accentuates her songwriting perfectly. I've never been able to get into her stuff prior to that because the production isn't nearly as warm and nuanced.

I'm nobody important for you to take my comment in account but, I appreciate you enough to let you know a honest thought :) Artist is awesome, location is very nice, love the artistic direction of your clips but soundwise… Why do you want her and the band to sound so separated ? If you want some more vintage recall, maybe try something different for the sound ? All the rest is kind of vintage, let's say vintage enough for me to have this feeling, but some more can be added with a proper vintage way of recording. Perhaps you don't want to complexify the process, which I could understand. The audio, for me, lacks the beauty of a more roomy sound, more ambiance between all of those beautiful musicians, don't worry about noise, they didn't in the 1970s anyway. It's nice to have vintage mics, but with your video serie I understand now that magic happen more in the process of recording. So my advice is : -find a very nice sounding room (I know you have the level to find one both rich sounding and beautiful looking) -Have some more room mics, different placements, try to catch the ambiance of the band together but not always musician by musician -Let the other aspect going as they are already you're killing it ! If you are reading this, I would appreciate an honest thought in return even short, I will appreciate very much. Take care.
