I don’t know how to really describe it, but whenever I listen to Alice, I get the same feeling as when you start falling in love. A sort of constant daydream, where nothing in life is as important and as pure as the feelings you feel so strongly in your heart. A certain longing, but I am not sure what for. It’s a combination of delays and alternating use of different vocalisation methods, it’s usually seen in rhythm centric rock/jazz/r&b by a few exquisite vocalists who consistently seek variations in the same piece through different eras But Alice doesn’t use percussions as much so it sounds more personal and without pretentious over abundance of techniques
