Joe and Dawn are great folks! Ken and Pam, you were fortunate to be meeting up with them when that truck leak happened. The check is even between friends.😊 Safe travels, all of you. 🙏🏾

Dawn and I felt blessed to meet up with you guys in Breck. We had a blast, especially celebrating around the fire after the truck was fixed. 🙂

Always a fun time with you two! Looking forward to the next time! We need more fun around the campfire, but no more truck troubles! 😅

I was thinking you might see Ron and Jodi in one of breweries in Breckenridge. Nothing like truck troubles except when they're fixed quickly than all smiles!! Rock on RoadSmiths!!

Haha...they do love their breweries. We are actually going to see them in a few days in Wyoming.

Glad you had friends who could help and figure out the diesel leak!! And Pam’s method for carrying bear spray is a little slow… but at least she has Ken as a protector!! Mika is one lucky hiking dog! Nice way to finish a hike... A brewery!! 🍻 and skiing is not a summer sport 😂 fun town and thanks for showing us around

Friends on the road are treasures in many ways, you and Joel included!! Haha! I’m pretty sure I could pull it out and spray like John Wayne if I needed to! 😝 Thanks guys!

Hey guys wow it pays to keep meeting new friends especially when they can save the day. Bourban was a great reward! Breckenridge is where my sister use to live I really regret not meeting up with her that place is fantastic! That was sweet to include the old family video. Pam always great at spotting nice flower displays! Great video loved all the music choices and drone footage fantastic!😊

Friends are such an amazing part of these adventures! Bourbon for the win! 😉 You guys have to get to Breckenridge, I recommend summer! It’s gorgeous! Thanks guys! Stay safe out there!

Hey Ken - it is Danny. We met at Diamond Campground in Woodland Park. Glad to hear you guys were able to solve your truck issues. Always something. I had to replace the AC compressor and fan clutch on my truck this past spring on my older F250 6.4l. Nearly $7000. Ouch! Oh well. Wife and I are headed up to Encampment, WY this Thursday to camp. lad to see you guys enjoying Breckenridge. We used to camp at Tiger Run Resort there, but it is pretty pricey these days. Safe travels and we will be following you guys.
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
Hey Danny...nice to meet you and thanks for coming over and chatting. We certainly ask these trucks to do alot and when they fail, they tend to fail spectacularly. Yes Tiger Rn looks awesome....but whew...very pricey although its nice to treat ourselves occasionally. Safe Travels

How frustrating to continue having truck issues! So glad you were with friends that knew what to do!! Bourbon is always good payment. 😄 I would say time spent with good friends, helping each other, and hanging out together is enough, no check needed. 😍 From things I've read, bear spray just ticks bears off....... 😦 YES!! Fun record store. - Jim & Michelle
@TheRoadSMITHSАй бұрын
Thank goodness it was an easy fix! 🙏🏻 Oh yes, friends are golden for sure! Haha bear spray probably does just make them mad, but I hope none of us ever have to use it! Safe travels, friends! 😊

When I had diesel pouring out like that, it was the diesel injection pump. It happened in the desert in Nevada, but we were able to get into the Dealer in St George right away. But it took a week to fix. So we spent our vacation in St. George. Which gave us the opportunity to visit Zion. A Park that was not on our radar, but turned out to be a wonderful vacation and adventure. We hiked to the top of Angel's Landing. Wow, it was beautiful. RVer's make lemonade from lemons.
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
You were lucky to get in so quick and get it repaired! Not a bad place to spend some extra time! Zion is still on our list…hoping to hike Angel’s Landing if we can get the lottery! Yes, RVers have to know how to be lemonade makers! 😂 Thanks guys! Safe travels!

Great video Ken and Pam! Glad you had a friend with you to help fix your truck. I’m like oh no your truck again! But glad it’s fixed. Beautiful area for camping and seeing the sites. How was the hike? Glad to see you back Pam! I still have my vinyl records. No record player though. I have seen bears at Detroit zoo? Dies that count? lol! 😂😂 Hopebhiu both have a great weekend and week. Safe travels.

It was such a beautiful place and the hike was very nice...not true stressful. Seeing a Bear at a zoo is so much more safe...haha.

I live in CO and didn't know that the Eisenhower/Johnson tunnels were the highest in the WORLD!! Another interesting fact is that the truck emergency ramp that you showed on the west side of the tunnel was recently reported to be one of the most (if not THE most) used emergency ramp in the U.S. And if you want to get rid of your old YES albums (or any albums), I'll happily take them off your hands...😁
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
Actually I was a bit mistaken on the tunnel. It was highest tunnel in the world when it was built. That runaway ramp looks scary and not surprising it gets so much use. All my albums are in storage back in Texas and not sure what kind of shape they are in. Haha

Wow! That truck of yours.. lol. We are missing Colorado. Cannot wait to get back out there. Still need to visit Breckenridge. We love boondocking, seems like it is so much more of a slower pace when we are off grid.

Probably one of three connections on engine bay fuel filter . I change my own fuel filters , very easy to do . Always push in connectors, hear a click and give them a tug just to make sure they are secure.
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
Yes...it was one of the low pressure connections. The filers were replaced about 7K miles ago..so weird that it just did this.

I know changing both fuel filters in a 6.7 PS is not a piece of cake and a messy job. Not sure why this clip came loose several thousand miles after the filters were changed.

IMO. i would replace that high failure rate under hood fuel filter There are many ones but there (the OEM ford one can cause fire). They are so much better. My wife an I are fixin to go full-time in 24 months. I am spending the time until replacing all the failure items on my Ford PS.
@TheRoadSMITHS2 ай бұрын
It looks like to was just the clip that came loose....not sure how that happened. Yes we did get a faulty Ford OEM filter in the past that cracked and got diesel everywhere.

The highest tunnel in the world is the Punta Olimpica Tunnel in Peru, which is 4,738 meters above sea level. 15,544 feet per Mr Google
