Joanna as someone who has also gained some weight and is planning her wedding, it’s so healing for me to hear you talk about this! Stress, intense pressure to look a certain way, MONEY. It’s all cramping my style on what should be pure joy!!

When I got married I was at my highest weight. Still had a fabulous and amazing time. Wonderful memories that I still cherish. Just concentrate on getting a dress that makes you feel comfy and beautiful and that feels good to move in. Getting married is really about sharing your commitment with everyone you love and want to celebrate with. And they will be focused on your joy. And that’s what truly matters ♥️

Ok I relate to you so insanely much. Anyyyyways I got married a little over a year ago and all I can say is just shop for dresses for who you are now. Don’t buy a dress that you feel like you’re going to be messing with all night or only like at a certain angle. Just shop for who you are and your personal style will show through like it always does! You WILL find the right dress!

What you said about not being able to wear what you want to wear - YES. I’m struggling too - I lost like 50+ pounds and then when I got sick again last summer I went downhill and pretty much gained it all back. That along with the big 4-0 approaching when I was convinced I’d be young forever.. it sucks man. Just wanted to say I love you and I relate and I’m here anytime you want to rant!

I have been following you for years and I wanted to say first that I love watching your content! I struggled with binge eating in the past really badly and in the past 4 years I feel like I have the healthiest relationship with food that I’ve ever had but I am also gaining weight and idk why. I’m scared to diet/count calories because I know it will throw me into binging again but I’m also tired of feeling uneasy in my body. I really appreciate you being so open and honest with your journey. You are not alone💜

I hope these small tips can help :) i am a fellow binge eater as well and got gestational diabetes during my pregnancy that really made me have to shift my eating habits. I think small changes over time make the biggest changes and again getting diabetes taught me how our body processes sugar/carbs. After baby was born and my diabetes went away i felt like i was back at square one. I gave myself a goal of just not drinking soda for 30 days. The first day was the hardest and each day i was closer to 30 days i felt so good. Then i was like im going to not drink soda for another 30 days. Now i never crave it. Then i did the same thing with fast food and have been almost 3 or 4 months without it and never want it. Those small changes- i noticed a difference with my body. Anyway- i hope those little tips helped. I have a lot more if you want 😂

We love the Natural History Museum! Smart idea to cover your plant beds. Those little critters, especially bunnies wreck havoc on plants. Go look for a wedding dress and have fun shopping for it! I've been gaining weight consistently and non stop for the last 2.5 years and I didn't really understand what the hell was going on. I tried working out occasionally through out the week, cutting out dairy, gluten, and eating "healthy". Only recently I realized it was likely my insulin resistance and my hormones were messed up, all probably due to a relatively newer stressor in my life that I couldn't really get away from. I cut out processed sugars almost completely and started intermittent fasting, because I was getting increasingly concerned of pre-diabetes and everything that comes with that. I eat gluten and dairy occasionally now and managed to drop 6 lbs in about 5 weeks. I don't feel so out of control any more and starting to feel like myself again. It's so tough when you feel disconnected from your body.

Hi Joanna! From one sensitive skin California gal to another - I had super dry, break-out skin in January. Limiting my routine to the green Cerave cleanser and Aveeno’s hydrocortisone cream (the one with oatmeal) for a month finally got my skin back to baseline. ❤

Mental health is so fascinating… you try and understand it but its so hard.. like what can we actually change and what is just sort of solidified in terms of neurology etc… anyways was just wondering if your states/moods go in cycles? Like I’m starting to see with myself a pattern of a week or two of depression then gradually it picks up and then I’m on top of things then maybe a couple months later the cycle repeats.. its almost like your body does this to preserve energy or process things. So weird. But annoying obvs we all just want to be good all the time but I guess that’s unrealistic.. great to see you’re doing better-love your videos in all their dynamic honesty. ✨

I feel like big days like weddings always have way too much pressure to be the best day of your life. Often it's not gonna be the best or even perfect at all, and that's ok. If you aim for just having a really fun time with friends and family that's a great outcome 👍💗

So I've got two friends with the same rash. It starts at the mouth because you're allergic to something you're eating (you'll have bathroom issues too) I love you Joanna and you're gonna beat this 👊 Spring is hard AF, everyone's feeling wild because this is the time where animals are given energy to frolick and come out of their dens and make babies, and humans just don't know what to do with all the energy because their needs are met, lol. You're just an animal picking up on the spring energy, like everyone I know is feeling exactly like you are (me included). Anyway, try out carnivore or an elimination diet, see how your body reacts to certain foods directly after you eat them. If you get a burning sensation (like me with almonds) that's a good indicator that things are off. You're beautiful and hilarious and kind and that's all you need even if life isn't going your way ♥️
@clover9332 Жыл бұрын
Oh and foods you'll eat to be "healthy" like kale, broccoli, nuts, these foods are super hard on the gut ironically enough. Sticking with plain foods is the best way to go. Try it for a week, see how your rash fairs, then start to slowly add foods back in. I found that most people are sensitive to one food group. My aunt is allergic to leafy greens (even tea). I'm intolerant to legumes, etc...
