I read the story of Annie Proulx and I totally agree with this Oscar. It was actually quite short novel and as amazing as it is, I had a feeling the story seems kinda hard to translate into a screenplay. Thus the writers did amazing job. There were some new scenes and none of them seemed wrong, but carried the story so that it would become more complete.
