This year has been a personal low for me. My moms cancer diagnosis, beloved childhood pet dying, covid taking a family friend as well me still trying to bounce back physically/mentally with my own bout with the illness. Broken Bells has been in my top 3 bands of all time since first discovering them back in 2010. I love their finding the beauty in sadness sound that has been my soundtrack to keep moving forward. I can’t express enough my joy and appreciation for this new album 😭 It couldn’t have come at a more needed time for

“Losing our minds just a little, how can you not in a fragile world? You had me square in the middle, between a bad dream and a careless girl“ Mercer always goes hard with the lyrics and Dangers’ production complements it so well 🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥

When they go on their inevitable tour, see them. They've performed 110 shows since 2010, so it's rare to get to see them live. I saw them in New Orleans in March of 2014. and they put on an amazing show.

Agreed, I got lucky and saw them twice in 2014: at their Philadelphia show and then also at the Governor's Ball music festival in New York. They killed it both times!
@WordUnheard2 жыл бұрын
@@Conorize This is only their third album in 12 years. They toured the last two albums, they'll almost definitely tour Into The Blue. The Shins just wrapped up their tour last month, and Danger Mouse only tours with James Mercer. So the odds of a Broken Bells tour late this year (maybe)/early next year (probably) are very high. Just keep checking tour dates for Broken Bells in 2023.

I've been alone for a second Another year has come and gone Thought I would call you and check in See if you found where you might belong Over and over, I'm sleepless Some kind of war zone in my head We were so young and reckless Down every hallway, another bed One night, and everthin' changes, I know Right to the back of the line, I go One night, and your invitation, revoked One night, stop and say hello Resentin' the ones we depend on But was I a steady hand to hold? What other note could it end on? I nevеr knew I could be so cold Losin' our minds just a little How can you not in a fragile world? You had mе square in the middle Between a bad dream and a careless girl One night, and everthin' changes, I know Right to the back of the line, I go One night, and your invitation, revoked One night, stop and say hello You're lost in your bed when you turn out the lights Perhaps you will dream tonight (ooh) The games you play, a voice you find It all okay, if wrong or right It's fault that you fear in the bark and the bite (ooh) Tell me, where you can turn back time? (Ooh, turn back time) Before the day you gave up the right (ooh) To change my ways, to all my lines (ooh) One night, and everthin' changes, I know Right to the back of the line, I go One night, never look up, in your throat One night, stop and say hello One night, and everthin' changes, I know Right to the back of the line, I go One night, another invitation, revoked One night, stop and say hello Father, teach me to forget Father, teach me to forget All the time, all I need is you Father, teach me to forget Father, teach me to forget I thought you'd lie, there's no stoppin' you

I always come back to them, music is the only thing that gives me chills. These lyrics are very relatable to me these days. Their music has an ethereal, haunting and a nostalgic quality to it. Some music seems timeless and this definitely feels like it. I can't say enough great things about them, I went out and got all their albums on cd. Music is my soul and will forever be with me.
@hullahatzu2 жыл бұрын
This album combines the musical best of all the decades since the 60s. It's like they took this deep, sticky essence of the history of music and poured it into an amazing 40 minutes long experience. I love Daft Punk, but this is "Random Access Memories" on crack. Too bad it doesn't seem like it will get the recognition it deserves. "Shelter" and "Good Luck" were amazing tracks and I felt it was very strange that they weren't going to add them to the album, because I thought they couldn't possibly record that many more tracks of similar quality. And then this is so geniously put together; it's hard for me to express the happiness from listening to it in simple words. Absolutely stunning and disturbingly perfect. When it comes to consistent quality, the recent Jungle and Royal Blood albums set such a high bar, but after "Into the Blue" I don't expect to ever hear another album this complete.

I like this song but I have to question "There are one thousand million worlds." 1000 X 1,000,000 = 1,000,000,000 (one billion). There's 9 worlds in our immediate little cosmic neighborhood. There's probably more than a billion stars in our Milky Way Galaxy. I know this is just a music video, and I know a lot of people don't know what a thousand million means. None of this is meant to demean the music. I just saw that card flash and it made the record in my scratch. Carry on.
