So sorry for all the unfortunate problems you all ran into. You ladies are rockstars!! Great video, Lisa!

Thanks Tanya - I’d certainly rather be turning, but at least we got these things checked off the list!

The reasons that have kept you from turning, Lisa, are both genuine and unfortunate. Not a made-up excuse in the lot. Fingers crossed 🤞 the repairs and replacements will provide trouble-free service for a long time to come.

Wow you were luck you found that problem with your camper and that is a warning to other camper owners to check things out before use! That roof repair looks like it was done by a amateur who had a good friend who sells cheap caulking! Good job on your repair! Switches need replacing all the time and yours looks easy and not complicated well done! Cheers Al

Good move to replace the entire roof panel. Hope the emergency list continues to get shorter.

Thanks Paul! I really didn’t see any other way to deal with the roof - the fewer times I have to climb on and off the 2nd story roof the better and trying to chase down an intermittent leak wasn’t sounding like a good idea

OH MY! is not an overstatement Lisa. Ugh. As if the camper wasn't bad enough, the roof was was insult(?) to almost-injury. Ugh ugh. (It was thinking you had the Blick paint kit ready to do a color match. hehe). And I'm hoping doing the switch ended the "... comes in threes" curse you had going on. Whew. Shoulder coming up ? We're with you all the way !!! It'll be a breeze🤞🍀 Take care. -Mike p.s. Don't worry 'bout the Life Intrudes to your YT sport(?) 'cause we'll be here patiently waiting. p.p.s. my 'eye masks' are limited to my wife's hand cross the face if she needs to check if I'm in bed. ugh.

That sucks, glad you found a good welder for the repairs. Could have been much much worse. Plus shotty roof work, what's next.
@LisaRamlow9 ай бұрын
Hopefully nothing else! We really got lucky all the way around with the camper - that could have been all kinds of disaster. The roof is normal home-ownership but unfortunately there was a lot of that type thing around the place 🤷♀️. Good think we’re handy girls! 😃

Just bought a 25 foot travel trailer. I make a habit of checking the frame welds before each trip! Lippert frames…..
@LisaRamlow9 ай бұрын
You got it! There’s no oversight at all in the RV industry and there have been a handful of lawsuits but Lippert is blaming the RV manufacturers for poor engineering and the RV manufacturers are blaming them for not making the frames to spec. So nothing happens. They get them thru the 1 year warranty and then it’s on is. And apparently the RV dealers won’t service the frames, nor will most auto mechanics so if you don’t have access to a welder it’s even worse! In this case I’m grateful for the flat tire, which may have saved us from catastrophic disaster

Dust collector switch failure. Opened it up, full of packed in sawdust. Cleaned out, worked fine. Whodda thunk!

I think I’ll have that issue with my lathe before long - I left the plastic film covering the digital readout on until just before I replaced the relay - now there’s no seal and I know it’s gonna fill up
@valeriehenschel15909 ай бұрын
@@LisaRamlow Hit it with the air compressor? I do that on my small jet regularly just so I can see the readout through the sawdust!🤣
@jackburton60859 ай бұрын
It seems like this should be covered by the manufacturer, no? Issues like that with the frame seem sus! So sorry you had to deal with all of this, but glad you got it squared away. Hope everything else is going good and hope to see some more woodworking soon! ✌️❤️🍻🖖
@LisaRamlow9 ай бұрын
Yeah well that would require some oversight in this industry to hold manufacturers accountable but that is pretty much non-existent in the RV world. Frame mfg points finger at inferior engineering and design from rv mfg and rv mfg points finger at frame mfg for not building frames to spec. There have been a few lawsuits but they don’t go anywhere 🤷♀️. Buyer beware is the rule here! And I’m itching to get back in the shop before my surgery so hopefully I can make that happen!
