The sealed roads are where the water would ruin the road I believe. So less maintenance

They seal the areas where the most maintenance is necessary. Flood areas, waterway etc. Cheaper to seal than to constantly repair. Nothing to do with who lives in that area.

I love craft beer and especially IPA's. But at Longreach, the money continues to drain away like ice in the Sahara Desert with all the paying tourist activities. As Jesus said to his disciples "Money is the root of all evils". But as Lazarus was raised up from the dead and stood erect in front of Jesus, Lazarus responded to Jesus' wisdom and said; "that may be the case that money is the root of all evils, but money does buy a wicked root". How did you go with water for 5 days off grid in Winton? Water leaks in a van. You expect the worse and breathe a sigh of relief when it's not too bad!! Stika flex and duct tape fix everything don't they???

the qantas museum at longreach is not the site where it began it was at winton but some reason they couldn't manage it so the moved it to longreach

Emu's are cute..... but they kicked our arse in the "Emu Wars" !!!!!! they look like big chickens..... anything but........ I'm pretty sure (i am old now) that Rommel commented that if he had 2 divisions of Emu's he could conquor the world..... or sumfin like that

We were told during a zoo keeper talk that the emu chick's won't leave the dad and the safety of the group, to get them to leave when they are old enough the Dad Emu will lay down and litterally play dead until they all leave.
