The checker plate does look good and it ages so much better than normal cladding especially with dust stone chips and is more dent resistant. And YAY for the v4. Love the stuff for sealing edges👍 Love ya work, and those bends in the checker plate are sharp as, schmick 👌 Looking forward to see how the front looks with those access hatches.

Looking great guys, love it. Just remember not to touch the checker plate in summer and as its nice and shiny, if driving at night the people behind you may get blinded by the glare of their lights as it reflects back. can't wait to see the finished effect once it's all on.

Hey Guys, Ive been following the series for some time and love the content! As a fellow Daydream 24ft owner itsgot me worried about my own van with water damage. I had a comprehensive look over the van recently and found damage in the front and rear unfortunately 🤦 Now i'm looking at making an insurance claim for the repair.. can i ask why you guys didnt do the insurance thing to cover the cost of the repair?

Oh no that’s a bugger! Quite a few reasons why we didn’t. 1 we had done a lot of modifications so potentially could be refused 2 they almost definitely would have written it off so then we’d be back at square one looking for a affordable van that we could reno 3 there would be no content if we did that! 😁

Good to see your back getting it finished. Those staples your using, is there a particular staple to use to go through the sheeting? Also the screws you used to hold the ali on, will they be removed before the J moulding goes on?

Cheers! No just the same standard staples punch straight through the cladding and yes I’ll remove the screws before fitting the j mould 👍🏻

That number plate rule has been in yrs ago , I built my caravan 20 yrs ago , I have seen newer vans with number plates way above the legal height, One I saw in Rockhampton, new van number plate and light top right hand side , how ridiculous, It's not rocket science to have plate correct height.😃🤠🦘🦘🇦🇺
