What about raptor paint in white? The reflection on some car canopys with checker plate is bad. This van would annoy other road users or worse in a caravan park on a sunny day. It's not bad looking but think of others.

Good trick I learnt from a repairer in wa . Get a piece of Perspex and grind an edge on a grinder so that it’s sharpish and you can use it like a chisel and it won’t scratch the paint on the cladding. Chris from Western Australia. The checker plate will have the car in front so I don’t think it’s going be much of a problem.

I think you guys are doing an amazing job, well done! If I am being totally honest with you, as I am sure you would want us to, I think the upper front section of the checker plate needs breaking up somehow. I don't like the idea of painting it as I feel that may end up more maintenance in time. How about something like your Maxtrax being mounted on that section to break it up? Something black may well be your best option. There is probably plenty of other things that could be used. Just have a think I guess. Great work and all the best.

Best way for angles, is angle finder then halve it. So a 30⁰ angle take 15⁰ either side. That will be 90⁰ over the 2 angles, so 45⁰ each then halve it to 22.5⁰ and thats your angle haha

In the next school holidays we are travelling on a road trip from Brissie to the Yarra Valley in our 30 year old van, Beryl. It is a dual axle, I was looking at the IC008 as I don't see why I would need to put a tpms on the spare tyres. I would appreciate your thoughts.

If my experience is anything to go by with your Truma AC is, don't get too attached to it. They seem to like to fail prematurely, ours died at 4 years old. Another negative is they don't like producing heat below 7 degrees Celsius. One good thing is it'll be loads lighter than what you have. Everything else is looking pretty good though.

Yes I have heard some bad things about them but there are loads out there so it seems to be a small percentage, fingers crossed ours goes alright!

For your checker plate why don't you get a enlargement of your YT channel logo and with the right kind of backing fix it to the top part and center of your checker plate. Maybe something 700mm round. Might look good and break it up a bit. Maybe add a 150mm black line across the bottom of the checker plate near the draw bar. The whole job looks good but needs a bit of a visual tickle.
