Great video, so I have an older BX and last year I hooked up a garden tiller to it, it would turn it and even dig a little but eventually stop turning without bogging engine, talk to someone at Kubota and they told me there was no clutch for the PTO but apparently there is!

And that dealership, wow, i wish every person could be THAT lucky to have a such a GREAT dealership like you have. My dealer is ok, but it could be better. Thanks for the video brother. Dealer support for your machines is a valuable thing to have and with them being local that is a plus. Some guys have to make a two hr trip (one way) to get parts. We used to go up there when they were a New Holland dealer , now it is a trip to Jackson Oh and Fedex for parts !

Looked like their dealers were rental companies to feed stores , I saw or read some where a car dealer was selling them. Just how good of serving will you get ,, like you did with your tractor ,,, have the been trained in the repair of these machines ? The dealer puts a lot of money into their mechanics yearly to be up to date. I know Case Eqpt. has training all of the time that dealers has to send their guys to. Yes Davis is a good company , No complaints here !

Your Dealer is far a few between one of the good ones, if I ever need Warranty Service I'd gladly travel from East TN to see them ! The BX Diff issue is pretty common unfortunately, luckily there aren't many other issues with the BX.

I know it's up to you to read the manual, it's ashame they didn't go over some of the basic fundamentals when they delivered it to you. Especially if you're were a first time tractor owner. Good luck, glad they covered it for you, that's rare. $20, I hear you can't even get a can of spray paint for that price! Thanks for sharing

Oh I definitely don’t blame anyone. I understood pretty well how the system works and I was always pushing the limits. I don’t believe I abused it, so I think warranty was fair, but I also think I need to dial it back a bit from now on. Thanks for watching!

sounds like davis equipment has a top notch dealership. the service after the sale is probably one of the most important things to consider when making a big purchase like that. i gambled on rural king when they first started selling tractors. when i first got the RK55, it had an electrical issue with the headlights blowing fuses. i contacted rural king and they wore my phone out trying to make arrangements to get my tractor fixed. (sounds great right ). they sent a tech to the farm, the man didnt even know where the fuse box was or how to access it. then, he just kept putting bigger fuses in it until it stopped blowing them and called it good. well, it still blew the fuses and i told them that that guy was not gonna be the guy they sent back out. they obliged me and sent a man from 3hrs away to the farm. he was there about 5 mins and found 2 wires crossed from the factory. fixed it less than 5 mins. no issues at all since. i think the service on the RK tractors is all about which location the service is performed. sound like you have found a GREAT service department for your bx.

just a heads up, put some kind of protective plate over the hydrostat fan !!, its a common problem with sticks, rocks, what-not to get up to the fan blade, and break it !.

That is excellent Lucas. Nothing like having service people that take good care of you. I have had the same experience with Huckabones here in Cobden Ontario. Fantastic people who just want you to be happy with the tractor. I will definitely be watching on Thursday. I will patiently wait for the info on the tires.

I don’t have a definitive answer to that, but I used it a LOT! And hard. The dealer is going to explain some of the causes in my Thursday video. I wear noise cancelling earbuds so I didn’t even hear anything when it broke. I just went to use it and it didn’t work. 🤷🏼‍♂️

How many hours? I had a smilar failure with a bagger PTO separation and cracked housing. Mine was 40 hours, now due for 100h service.

About 480hrs. I’d say they were 480 pretty hard working hours too….

The diff lock is a poor design that Mobutu should have fixed long ago. We owners should file a lawsuit for relief.
