Great video. Sycamore is probably the best wood to build with. It has a very low level of tannic acid. Metal fasteners won’t rust or rot in it. I bought a wooden barn lathe over 100 years old and pulled one of the steel lag bolts out of the sycamore bed ways. And except for some oxidation and the typical discoloration it had no pitting or rust damage. Great video. Enjoy your new toys. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Hi Lucas, and thanks for another great video! That was a terrific way to move those logs. I also like your three-point hitch with the skid steer quick attach. Where did you get that, or did you make it? I would love to have one for my tractor. I had better run for now, so stay safe, and until next time, may God bless your days as He always does ours! Good video young man!! 3 point pallet forks are pretty sweet. On my kioti ck3520se shuttle shift my diff. Lock is on right side heel. You would think it'd be on your left with hydrostat. Well you got it figured out n got your logs up the hill safely. Ya'll have a Merry Christmas . Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy yall's family time and homestead

Interesting about the differential lock placement. That’s a small bummer. I use my diff lock a fair amount to get out of sticky spots. It’s a gear drive tractor and the diff lock pedal is at my right heel. I have to hold it to keep it locked in, as it’s spring loaded to unlock when released (which I think is pretty standard). Seems like the TYM has it placed for gear drive (where the left foot works the clutch) and didn’t adapt for hydro. Otherwise, nice beast of a tractor!

@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Silly me, I wrote it backwards at first - diff lock is at my right heel, clutch on the left 😆

Would not normally comment on a safety thing but when going up the hill it looked pretty bumpy and off camber in a few a couple of ratchet going back to the frame on the forks Would keep the logs from moving a potentially coming off the forks and going off the side of the hill where it looks like your house is. Anyways awesome tractor

I am a first time tractor owner and I was wondering about the best method to transform some newly cleared land. (I figured out how to clear land) Into plowable land. I think I have the wrong tool for the job I can't seem to keep my middle buster down in the dirt. Should I use a rototiller first? Or maybe add weight somehow to the middle buster to keep it nose down and digging?

If the ground is mostly free of stumps I would definitely lean towards a tiller.
