That was a helluva leap from under the truck to the work bench- the music still playing over you talking about something- it was possible, or impossible, to pull the o/d unit with the trans still in there. Would’ve really liked to see how the rest of that extraction went so I can do the same! Any other lessons learned about getting it out of there and supporting the rear of the trans please?

Thanks for watching lol.. i apologize, the camera died while i was under the van.... but it IS possible to remove the overdrive & leave the transmission in there. in part 3 video you can see the rest of the transmission still in there and i supported the rear of the transmission with a small jack and a short piece of 2x4... kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWq1f4t4badqmpofeature=shared

I have a 99 ram van 3500 46re transmission and one day it wouldn't shifting out of first all of a sudden.... but it would shift great when cold but when hot it wouldn't shift?? fluid didn't smell burnt or bad but it looked pretty dark

i would definitely check the governor & transducer... they have screens on them that get clogged up, but they are also known to go bad on these transmissions... i ordered an upgraded one.. the link is in my comment section. i hope this helps
