Have a crazy staff build for you. Meteor / entropy sphere / corrupted ground - with vile projectiles skill for auto crits/spreading affliction like MAD Meteor still cost 2 but you regen so fast I hardly use my staff attacks except on bosses. Due to carastes double hat (25% cost refund - downside is all skills must share a type ) - miners talisman for 25 mana on area hits so each cast of Meteor refunds 1 bar with just gear... Passives for area and duration make them so large they hit so many enemies it's insane. And grant ridiculous amount of advantages like enhanced dmg. Resistance rally party ect... taking advantage of 10% dmg buff for each one. With enchantments and companion gear your auto critical will apply so many afflictions. . . Enchantment ring for bleed on ability crit, and companions have "keepsakes" that grant afflictions on critical hits. I use corrupted ground to spread necrosis and then use entropic sphere to hit everyone with critical damage spreading bleed and shocked or chill depending on neve or Ballara keepsake. Then slam with Meteor and watch the health bars delete. Im on underdog difficulty and it's not hard though this build is late game skill point heavy. You need to spread all over the board to get these skills. Ring enchantment gives mana. My spellblade gives mana and staffs can give mana (flamebranch). Its a very odd build but it seriously slaps hard... the build i used before this used chain lightning and tempest with corrupted ground and it worked great just to get me to the endgame. Where i could use Meteor with the legendary helmet

Great build any advice on playing on nightmare. I suppose the electric weapons only affects your knife right. How exactly do you proc the electric weapons effect besides parrying or davrin rally was just wondering. Thanks for the video.

Might consider adding eclectic armorer greater passive for the mana regen, extra weakpoint dmg, decreased mana cost on ranged attacks. Works cus build uses medium helm and light armour. Sitting next to imbued duration.

Try building around Tempest instead of Meteor for a Shock/Burn build. That half-mana-cost for Blast abilities might seem spicy, but a single Tempest is basically 9 Fireballs! Each of those 9 lightning strikes will build Shock/Burn, faceplant non boss enemies, and implant Arcane Bomb via a passive in the Spellblade specialization (same side as the Shock/Burn passive)! Can check my latest upload for a demonstration in the arena. With this build I was able to clear the Lvl 50 Crossroads boss at around Lvl 32 on Nightmare (though unfortunately did not record this).

@ after some more experimentation, I ended up with an infinite mana build centered around Arcane Shot. The All-Mother’s copse amulet gives you a 25 mana refund on Blast ability crits - this is multiplied by 5 for Arcane Shot, so combined with that guaranteed crit ring you’re spending 50 mana to get back 125 mana. With that kind of refund, your other abilities can be basically anything, though something spammable is ideal - I ended up choosing Chain Lightning and Ice Blast, make sure to get the +2 bounce enchantment on Chain Lightning and +75% crit dmg enchantment on Ice Blast. The 20% health cost per ability on that 100% crit ring appears to be reduced by defenses, so it’s not as significant a health cost as one would initially think.

Correction. Bronze branch only works on fade-touched enemies which is like those glowing robots and those creatures made from roots. Not all enemies. Given that it only works on one faction her other bows will likely serve better

One question though, do you think any one ability would be a good replacement for the wall of fire? Not really a fan of how it functions in this game. But I do like the fact that it is on cooldown.

This build is very similar to the build I'm going for except mine is using the lightning skills instead. I'd prefer to get burning from lightning skills as opposed to getting shocked from using fire skills. I have to see how it stacks up to this one. So long it's not severely underpowered, I'll be content because lightning is infinitely more fun/interesting than fire (imo).

Carastes double hat legendsry effect + evoker entropic sphere is broken as hell because you get back 25% mana spent on impact... except the sphere hits multiple different times during its travel before it explodes. On 1 cast of thr sphere i can get back 3 bars because of all the area passives

You can find it in the black emporium in Dock Town once it unlocks. You can also find it in random regular chests in the world. It's not an item you can point to. But you need to get a few versions of it in order to upgrade it up to legendary.

So far the combat is really fun for me. Id say if your on the fence wait for a sale later. Combat is where it shines tbh and it runs pretty well compared to some other pc games spec wise. Story is personal preference and you'll either hate it or love it. Overall not anywhere as bad as people say but definitely not the 9/10 that ign was praising it for either. Solid 7/10 for me.
