Wow! This project looks great! I really do like the shape of your finials, and I think if you made them more detailed, you might like them more. Finials are typically ornate, so maybe subconsciously they don't register as adequate. Also, I think if you incorporated some of the design elements used in other parts of the project, like trim, runes, or pavers/ brick work for instance. It might help them to feel a bit more integral to the piece, rather than a late addition. Those are just my thoughts though. I could be way off base.

looks amazing as usual! maybe next time you can create some type of a stamp (or even buy them ready made) to punch out the runes instead of painstakingly carving out each one. This way you can have them for other projects and would save a lot of time. wish I had your patience lol
