Brompton B75 Retro Upgrades Done

Very nice! I did an upgrade on my 1990 Brompton - quite different. Kept the old breaks as well as the non folding plastic pedal, had to replace the worn drive train (bottom bracket, crank set, chain, rear sprocket), added new front wheel with Son dynamo and Led lights as well as the front carrier block, respective rack, a smartphone mount and the same bell as you. Brooks saddle, leather grips and folding pedal were updates I did back in the 90s.

Well done Andrew. Mission accomplished. No mud guards definitely look better. Brilliant idea changing the brake levers to make more room for the grips; I’ll be doing that for my ergon grips that currently hang off the end. Very stylish bike; and you in your leather boots and stovepipe jeans. Looking GOOD. No need to mention LCHF lifestyle change. What about changing the brake callipers to more modern, effective ones? And changing the 3 speed to a wide 5 speed hub? More cash for the hub but could work well with the single 39T chainring. Moving away from authentic, into more effective without changing the look. Ride on brother; take care, have fun.

"No mudguards look better"! If a non caring racing bike rider it is fine, but as a "Rainy Dane", it is mostly an absurd idea to leave Home without mudguards (Mine are the 2019 Superlight versions, but made better and - much lighter with added Titanium and Alu- parts from China + some Dutch strengthening parts from Bromptonian.

My own is a 1999 T5, what have I done to it, Larger sprocket rear, longer BB with a compact double chain rings, lower handle bars like yours but black, more modern brake levers and calipers, SMP TRK saddle, grease nipple fitted to hing, and I cant remember what else!

A Chinese Update version is better, lighter and much less complicated for their purpose, and in any color you like! Also an original Brompton shaped (if wanted?), titanium seat post in more length versions, than the original sizes! Finn. Denmark
