I'm pretty curious about how things are made and love getting a peek behind the scenes so I really enjoyed getting the chance to see the Brompton factory and I hope you enjoy it too.

Ride On Cycling Love your video. I was there last October for a distribuitor conference, how cool that you got to see and film the same factory experience we had. Kudos to Brompton for allowing it.

I love to see Brompton bike. Spend watching about how everybody use to commute with it. But Brompton is an expensive bike here in Malaysia

Very impressive factory where portable bikes are made. I recently acquired a Brompton CHPT3 and I’m very impressed on how it rides and it’s compactness specially when traveling.

Thanks for your stories about BROMPTON. I really love my M6R in British Racing Green. I tried it in London and bought it in Germany at the reseller I trust for years. This folding bike was the best investment I did ever. BROMPTON rules... Greetings from southern Germany --- Martin

More vids on Bromptons please. I am a lady, have a standard 6 speed Bromopton, commute to work, like to wear work clothes or jeans, like to keep it simple. A tendency to collect if I love it and I def love it.

Not many British bike companies left . The main ones are Brompton, Hope,Orange and MucOff (previously X-Lite) .
@OneLessCar6 жыл бұрын
If you look a little harder there are actually quite a few. Pearsons, Condor, Hummingbird, North Road, CES for bikes and wheels, Rivelo, Rapha (though they were just sold), Findra, DHB, for clothes just to name a few.
@SKBKER6 жыл бұрын
I know but they are not mainstream . We have small companies but a long time ago we had far more big companies .

Did you enjoy the M type handle bars on the electric bike or do you prefer the S type? thanks
@OneLessCar6 жыл бұрын
I much prefer the M. I don't like the pressure the S style puts on my wrists.
@johnoliver74116 жыл бұрын
Oh I'm surprised as you ride a road bike ?@@OneLessCar
@OneLessCar6 жыл бұрын
@@johnoliver7411 I personally don't see the point of an aggressive riding position on a Brompton. Also on a road bike your wrists are positioned quite differently, you don't use flat handlebars and so your wrist is straight. 🚴♀️

hi, i just go my first Brompton. I have the Brompton M3L edition, please could you tell me if its normal if you feel a slight bit of movement/play where the rear triangle meets the catch by the shock absorber. The movement isn't side to side, its just when you life the rear wheel up and place it on the ground again, a slight movement can be felt. Just want to know if this is normal, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, have a great day!

I have a Brompton. I love it and so liked this tour. Always wanted to visit the factory but have never got around to it. However I am not a fan of electric bikes what ever make or model they are so an electric powered Brompton is still the antithesis of cycling imho.
@OneLessCar6 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the video. Out of curiosity have you tried one? They are a lot of fun! I feel they serve many purposes, especially when it comes to cargo bikes. I also see it as a way to get more people on bikes who might not otherwise consider cycling as an option, and the more people on bikes the better off we all are. 😀
@froilanpimentel9646 жыл бұрын
How can we avail this kind of bike and around how much the price.??
@owenchuarbx6 жыл бұрын
Compared to Dahon or Tern. How does it fair against them.
@OneLessCar6 жыл бұрын
My sister has a Dahon and says likes it, but rarely rides it, she usually uses the Vancouver city bikes for the times she uses a bike (she's not a bike nut like I am) . My husband got one and he rides it everywhere. That says it all to me. I've had a cheap folding bike a long time ago and it was a pig wouldn't want to ride it more than 3km the Brompton I've done 60km on no problem. You get what you pay for.
@readysetsleep6 жыл бұрын
I'm curious as how many Brompton employees actually ride a company bike? Or if they have incentives like Chris King to ride to work and earn vacation minutes.
@OneLessCar6 жыл бұрын
It would be interesting to know! The PR girl who gave me the tour was new to the company and she now commutes by bike (I would think a bike is a perk of the job). The parking lot wasn't full either ;)
@ravenone62556 жыл бұрын
Why couldn't the Brompton wheels be 20"?
@LawAbidingCitizen1176 жыл бұрын
That would make it less compact when folded.
@LawAbidingCitizen1173 жыл бұрын
@the mountain man A folding 16" is more compact than a 20" when folded. You can't carry a folded 20" comfortably in London Underground or New York subway.

Hello. I really like BROMPTON bike, but in Malaysia BROMPTON is too expensive for me
@dml50536 жыл бұрын
do you find that due to the small wheels more effort is needed or does it take longer to get from A to B?? ..on a side note, .I stumbled over your channel a few months ago and I've really enjoyed watching your videos...you inspire me so much to get out on my bike I cant tell you...just wanted to thank you...
@OneLessCar6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the lovely comment, I'm glad my videos are inspiring you to get out on your bike, it's the reason I make them! My understanding is the smaller wheels make you faster off the start, though I'm not usually interested in going fast when I'm riding it. My husband however always wants to see how fast he can go and on his 14km commute through central London he averaged 26km/h, not too shabby for London rush hour 😀 There is different gearing to choose from, but it's all and all a very capable bike, people even set them up to go bike touring, which I'm hoping to give a try this summer.

Apparently according to trip advisor Brompton after sales is very poor since 2019. This does worry me that they can't follow up on issues. Looks like my money is going elsewhere.

brompton is the best folding bike, i guess! but, the price is too high for me...
@OneLessCar6 жыл бұрын
I think it is worth it to pay the little extra for a Bromton, if you get a good bike you will use it more and then the cost per ride goes down over time. You can also start with a less expensive model and upgrade later.

yup... agree sis. cycling makes life better!

never be able to afford a Brompton so looks like i gotta get a poor person cheap folding bike. o the horror
@OneLessCar4 жыл бұрын
Nathan's Brompton is second hand. I would recommend trying to get a used one if new isn't in your budget. I had a cheap folding bike, it was a horror, it collaped when I rode it the first time and I nearly ended up in the canal, and it was twice as hard to pedal than the brompton. I stuggled on my 14km commute on it, the Brompton I've done over 60km no prolbem. Those were the only 2 times I rode that cheap bike. Waste of money in the end really.

Don't think they make every part, wouldn't be surprised if most of the add-ons are Chinese.
