You will only find out when you take the tube out. As you feel a resistance as each thorn still present pulls out of the tube you will know how good the system is. Don't forget to count all the punctures that sealed where the thorns pulled out. Most important is to pump up the tyre when it is flat and not start pulling it apart. Once you do then there is no going back. Been there, done that.., 😢

Claire you are so right. You would have thought though that if they really wanted to do it, the aftermarket companies could have made punctures a thing if the past by now. With tyres at £60 each and tubes as costly as they are, they have a nice income they don’t want to disrupt. Thanks for stopping by. 🙏

Shimano MW80 insulated winter Goretex boots. Mine are at least 10 years old and still going strong. Sadly Shimano no longer make them otherwise I'd buy another pair. I wear Endura liner sock (their summer short socks) inside TOG socks or thick Icebreaker hiking socks. I am normally a 45 but got a size 46 boot. Feet stay warm the whole day. If very cold like -10C you can put a couple of feet warmers in your boots at your toes and under the sole of your feet.

Great tips Alex and I second the hot warmers in boots if desperation is setting in. Even hand warmers can work in there and save the day. Thanks for stopping by and sharing I appreciate it so much.

I suffer with nerve damage in my right arm and when the temp drops my arm and right hand becomes weaker and difficult to move fingers through cold.if I got a puncture I would only be able to be use my left had effectively.
