I was delighted to discover that you managed to get out bike camping again and in December too! There's something magical about your videos Miriam - apart form the stunning photography (especially the drone footage) and your delightful ability to focus on those poignant moments, your presentations are just perfection! Your choice of music couldn't be better and your relaxed and warm words to camera just seem to 'cap things' off for me. By far the best channel of this type I've ever watched and I shall look forward to more as soon as the 'whim takes you' (and weather permits). Best wishes to you.

Aw Miriam this is gorgeous! Bravo you heading out, for three days, in December. So nice to combine a trip with seeing a friend, I love that kind of thing. I really like the music you chose, so peaceful and atmospheric. And shot after shot was just beautiful, esp the drone shots - you are just amazing at that. My favourite was the shot you included in the montage at the beginning, where the little bike is tootling along all alone in a huge landscape on a tiny lane between old stone walls and rough green fields... That was so lovely and ust summed up the best of cycling somehow, why I love it. Your camp spot was incredible! Having it all to yourself... Ahh! Yeh winter definitely has its good sides. Sorry about your glasses! When I do things like that I annoy myself so much - a hassle to not have a thing you need, and expensive to replace it, and also super frustrating to waste time when you want to enjoy such a beautiful place. Reminded me of when i lost my house keys on a ride, and spent most of the rest of the trip racking my brains where I might have dropped them and I changed my route to go back to look, and spent most of day 2 obsessively walking along verges and scarmbling up banks scanning the grass and stones and rubbish, feeling upset and totally ignoring the lovely views! But as ever you handled it so gracefully. What a beautiful and inspiring film! Thank you for making it! Best wishes!
@MiriamKennedy2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Susanna! I think I know which shot you mean from up front, thats my favourite too! Such a great little trip and fantastic to get decent weather to allow for a trip this time of year. It's a beautiful part of the country and as usual a very different experience to explore it by bike and tent than from a car 🤗 Oh the glasses - it certainly causes hassle when you lose something like that. I was off work on Monday and managed to get to Specsavers to order a new pair but I wont be getting them until the middle of this coming week at the earliest. Trying to work at a screen with my sunglasses has been a pain! I'm actually out to a gig tonight and if I'm to have any chance of seeing whats going on, the prescription sunglasses will have to donned again, my friends will be mortified but tolerant of me of course too 😎 I hope the next stage of your treatment is going ok and not being too much of an inconvenience in your life!! Wishing you well for the festive season and no doubt see you and about again before too long 😉

Hey Miriam, only getting caught up on my youtube backlog! That was a crackin video, videography was amazing, the drone footage of the cliffs was spectacular. I've also never thought of including cat and dog buttholes in my videos, very creative. 🙀As I sit here eating my lunch I am wishing I had that cheese toastie, it certainly looked like it lived up to their claim as best in Ireland! 🤤 What about those Donkeys, the suspense was killing me as they went in for the kiss and then it just didn't happen, too shy I guess 🙂 Your camp spot looked fantastic, what a view, I'm sure that was amazing to wake up to. You could also tell you where in your happy place with that big grin on the third morning. Brilliant video as usual Miriam, thanks for taking us along, ATB Gary.

Miriam, west is best👍 Those one lane country roads must be so cool to cycle🚲(hills and all). Good timings on reaching your fine lodgings for the first night. Loved the old church and graveyard and that you can just stop and explore as you see things of interest👍 The Cliffs of Moher do look pretty cool and I think you are right - it is that they carry on for so long that creates the impact. Well done on avoiding the 'drone police' and heading for quieter pastures with a great view back up north along the cliffs. A fantastic camp spot with superb views. Crappy to lose anything when camping, never mind something as important as your glasses. A really cool adventure, which I think was what the cow was saying🐮😊👍👍

Cheers Gerry - the West certainly keeps pulling us back for sure 🤷♀️ The small quiet roads are lovely to cycle and give a great feeling of freedom and safety too! The small wheels and 3 gears possibly help me soak in the landscape and take more breaks while I’m rambling along 😂 That view along the length of the cliffs from the Hags Head really was impressive and thankfully the camp spot didn’t backfire - a risky spot I know 🫣 That cow was hilarious, stealth water robbing exposed! Kept off the mountains the last while, dodgy knee playing up, but did a few lovely coastal walks during that freezing spell. Enjoy the rest of the hols and I look forward to seeing your next trip. Take care. Slainte.

Clare, Bike, December, Tent.....i thought you'd finally gone over the edge! i drove from Galway to Dublin a few days back and it was a monsoon but it looks like you got a lovely break to enjoy one of the best places in the country. Spent this morning in Glendaloch and managed a trip across the Spinc between the showers. Thanks again for a great video and a reminder of how gorgeous this little country of ours really is.
@MiriamKennedy2 жыл бұрын
Oh lovely - just hearing of the Spinc and it generates an urge to see it again soon!! Thankfully I managed to not go over the edge this weekend and the drone came home with me intact - not good for the nerves!! There have been so few opportunities to get out with the weather we’ve been having for weeks, my withdrawal symptoms were getting very dangerous!! Cheers Brendan for watching this one - a great reminder for me too on how lovely our little patch of land is. Glad you enjoyed it 😊

Such a beautiful and calm atmosphere to that trip..except for the part you piloted ur drone over the river..I thought, carefully does it Miriam..had visions of a rogue tree branch causing a crash landing..haha..it took a second veiwing for me to appreciate that beautiful shot properly..haha! The cliffs were stunning, and very rugged; and you had a lovely camping spot..Feet out of the tent, a cuppa and some biscuits..heaven! Good job the chocolate digestive police weren't out in force 🤣 I liked the way you hedged your bets this time, so as not to tempt fate. Quite confident she says, in an apparently semi-confident manner into the camera..whilst the caption appears in the top corner, stating the opposite! Excellent..🤣 You were really lucky with the weather. Looked like crisp but cloudy days. A little sprinkling of rain on the tent on the second night; but hardly a breath of wind, and the soft winter light to add to the romance of the setting. And a homeward cycle under vivid blue skies. Really enjoyed that Miriam, thank you for sharing your trip with us..And appreciate the out take at the end..to end on a laugh..even the cow (was it a cow??) was laughing! 😂 P.s. Did you find your glasses in the end? 😊
@MiriamKennedy2 жыл бұрын
I hadn't lost the glasses at the river - definitely safer then!! When I looked at the footage myself I thought how risky it was - oh lord....thankfully no harm done! No joy on the glasses, I searched all the spots I had flown the drone that afternoon but couldn't see them. I reckon they popped out of my pocket but I wasn't able to find them. I was in Specsavers today to get a new pair - I was due an eye test anyway and of course my prescription has changed (this getting older thing 😉) I'll be on the sunglasses now for the week. I was off work today but my sunglasses might have to make an appearance or two at work I'd say until my new glasses are ready. I'm off to a gig on Saturday night - again the shades will be coming with me! That was most definitely a loud cow - don't bring a cow when robbing a bank!! I was very lucky with the weather, I knew that terrible weather had to go at some stage and I was just hoping that I'd be free to go when a window arrived - delighted I got out before Christmas anyway! I hate making plans with anyone at the weekends as I like to keep my weekends free to head off but now that I've had my fix I can interact with the world again at the weekends!! Cheers Tim for watching!! Actually those light Merrell boots I had on in this video are the closet thing I have to feeling the ground in my footwear - they've a really thin sole and its such a different sensation (in a positive way) than all the protection that I'm used to. I still like the protection though of course too....maybe 2023 I'll give them a go!!
