Thank you Hillbilly for showing the wheel alignment tool you guys have. Now I can make one to sort my front wheel aliment out. For 40 years I just asked someone to hold the other end of the tape measure and now I can do it myself.

Ooh. Don't let the Lincoln play with the air handle unsupervised. The air pressure can really do some damage in the boys nose, ear or eye. Looks like Colton is paying close attension to what Robby does. He is absorbing skills and is a very good addition to the crew.

Pro tip! After you get those threaded steering lines properly cut to length and fully tested for clearance and function, you should then get a crimped set made up because those threaded lines can separate sometimes, and if you swap them out before they fail you have a spare set to get you off the trail.
@bucknaked9095
@bucknaked9095 2 ай бұрын
Used that type of fitting for years in the injection machine industry. Hoses/fitting would be rated for 5,000 psi pressure. Never had a fitting separate.
@thelonewrangler1008
@thelonewrangler1008 2 ай бұрын
@bucknaked9095 does the injection machine industry regularly tug on the hoses with logs and rocks? I'm not saying they're terrible or useless, just not the best option for reliable offroad operation
@neilfromclearwaterfl81
@neilfromclearwaterfl81 2 ай бұрын
@@thelonewrangler1008 Usually in a production environment one days operation will put a hose into several months to the equivalent of a years stresses on a vehicle. Arms/cylinders are not always stationary in fixed action and have to articulate sometimes more tightly than when used on a vehicle plus will most often be working though their full range of operation at higher speeds to maintain production rates. The stresses on the return stroke can also be many times greater as we will use a higher flow rate there then on the feed to greatly increase the number of cycles per hour. At those rates then heat can also be a greater issue requiring a more robust cooling system then on a vehicle plus the machines often need to hold up to working 2 or 3 shifts a day 7 days a week with limited down time. Now if we were talking about brake fittings where you lightly insert a hose and expect fluid or air pressure to keep things clamped together in high stress situations then we'd have a problem. Best!

When you're building hoses with screw in fittings, put STP on the threads and the ID of the hose. This will keep them from cutting the rubber of the hose ID. If you don't you could end up with a flapper in the hose.

I will recommend that you get some poles and just use them to tent special projects. The have tube frame tents that you can just overlay your plastic (save the top that comes with for your events since you are in the sunny west). That can make a booth to keep stuff clean, and they go up and break down quickly.

I had a fiberglass roofed tent trailer that the roof got hit hard by a roll out awning that a random gust of wind flipped onto the top hard. I had bedliner material professionally sprayed on top and it worked beautifully to seal it and make it strong again.

It's called g code because the are g codes i.e. g01 g02 etc. that command the machine to perform various operations such as hole interpolation or other things to cut out the part. Same for all types of cnc machines. There are also m codes that command machine functions like spindle rotation /stop etc. on mills and lathes.
