Porter is gonna make the fight tough that’s a given. This was really tough to score while I watched. Porter was the aggressor and really got Thurman on the ropes. But the counter punching from Thurman was key. Great fight from both guys, I wouldn’t have been made at a draw. But I always believe you gotta convincingly out fight the champ to take the belt if there’s no knock out.

Porter was the aggressor but not an effective aggressor. Thurman countered with clean shots. I'm a huge fan of Porter and his work ethic.

I had it 9-3 Thurman, He walked down Porter for the 1st half of the fight. In the middle of the ring it was all Thurman. Porter's best moments were when he cut off the ring and started throwing hooks but Thurman was there countering. And obviously the hardest hits of the fight were all Thurman too, he rocked Porter at least 2-3 times.

It's aways the same: undefeated ('0-guys) titleholders are always given preference by the judges. In my opinion Porter should have won, as he was the more aggressive and Thurman mostly on the defensive side. Thurman vs. Errol Spence as well as Thurman vs. Pacquiao showed the actual liminations of the former.

Blueprint? Idk man. Porter is a beast. This fight was really close and so was the Spence fight. In fact, if Porter doesn’t get knocked down in the 11th round of that Spence fight, he MIGHT have won the fight. Crawford doesn’t pass the same eye test that Spence and Thurman do. Crawford don’t look like he’s in that same caliber of fighter. He don’t fight like Spence and Thurman. Especially Thurman. One Time has been in there with legends and DOGS. Porter gonna bring it to Crawford with a tested chin, tested hands, and a tested mental. Crawford hasnt fought anyone thats pushed him or made him uncomfortable. Porter did that in this fight and against Spence making Spence and Thurman PROVE they are elite. Crawford gonna have to prove himself. He’ll need to do more than he did against a guy like Jeff Horn (who didn’t really beat Manny Pacquiao). I don’t see a blueprint to beating Porter for Crawford. He’s gotta go in there and be a DOG. He’s gonna have to elevate his game bc Porter will test him, it’ll be a good one. But this fight doesn’t give any blueprints. Porter a dog. You gotta be on your game when you step in with him bc every dog has their day.

Damn, this was a really good fight. I'd rank it just below Spence v Porter. Thurman's counterpunching was so good in the second half of the fight. It seems that he takes some time to start before really finding his rhythm. Tbh though, I had that as a draw. It really came down to that last round in the end, and I could see how it could go both ways. Personally I gave it to Porter, which is why I scored it a tie. He just got really active in that last round and helped even out the score for me. Great fight, and another reason why I love Porter. No matter who he's fighting, Thurman or Spence, he makes it rough and tough on them. I would LOVE to see him fight Bud and see how that one turns out. Who knows, he could possibly be Bud's kryptonite like Ali-Frazier. Hell, he could reasonably have a rematch with Spence or Thurman too with how close both of those fights were. The commentator was mega-ass though for this fight like wtf was this on showtime as well because I'd like a version without that guy lol

@@tonemoney2691 Porter tried to box Ugas differently for some reason and not use his usual tactic of push and bully on the inside and electing to box. And even then Ugas wasn't doing enough for me to see him winning. He certainly had success but Ugas was too stagnant during the fight and missing shots. No idea who Julio Diaz is so im guessing thats one of porters earlier fights in which case he was likely still growing. Porter's going to put pressure on Bud like he's never seen before and at a level he's yet to fight at in Welter. We'll see how it goes
