When I had him in my server, he would constantly make every conversation about himself and If they don't listen, he complains and yells especially in a VC. Now he hates me, if that wasn't obvious, and when my friend invited me to his server, which had the Brony in it. He got upset, threatened to hack me, I told him off and he left. To which his friend hacked into my friends first server. He went onto his other server and deleted some of the channels before he got banned. He's in his 20s, don't forget about that.

I'm disappointed neither video addressed the brony and furry con that was hit by a chemical weapon. Or that there was a woman in WWE who was fired after it was found that she shared Nazi themed ponies on her Instagram.

@@christophermonteith2774 It was at a Furry Fest in Chicago. What was ruled an intentional release of chlorine gas was detected and made nineteen yiffers and cloppers sick. If you don't know: chlorine gas is released when you mix bleach with a cleaner containing ammonia.

After moving my TV cabinet recently to shampoo my carpets, I decided to go through some of my DVDs and watch them once to see whether I wanted to keep the, donate them, or throw them away. Next up to watch was a DVD of Bronies 2: More Unexpected Fans of My Little Pony. It's a follow up to Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony from 2012, with 12 unconnected documentary clips from up to 2015. Watching it now, in 2024, I had two main threads I was thinking about while re-watching all the clips. First was the dramatic irony of knowing something now that the people in the documentary didn't know at the time: That the My Little Pony fandom was destined to die. Or if not 100% die, then become a shadow of its former popularity, and the documentary takes place when the fandom was at the height of its popularity. In the first clip, Lauren Faust, who wrote the first two seasons of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic states how her intention was that "I wanted a respectable show for girls, because saying something is for girls or girly is usually equated with being not worthwhile, of being lame, of being stupid, and I wanted to put a dent in that perception." Through no fault of hers at all, later writers like Josh Hamilton wrote episodes that were exactly as lame and stupid as a children's show for girls is usually figured to be, with Secrets and Pies on October 14, 2017 being the worst example, where the episode is based on Rainbow Dash not liking pies for no reason, lying to Pinkie Pie for no reason, and Pinkie Pie trying to catch her in her lies for no reason. On top of that, the writing of Equestria Girls and My Little Pony: Make Your Mark is terrible, and all the characters are written like idiots. It's kind of depressing to look back on now, but aside from some fans still putting out high quality content, like AgrolChannel, the My Little Pony fandom isn't putting out any sort of official content that captures the fun and unexpected high quality of early My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic episodes. It makes me consider how many other shows and fandoms are past their prime - Star Trek, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, The Simpsons, Futurama, and Family Guy all come to mind. Oddly enough Bluey is right dead center of its prime, and coming out with punchy, fun, impactful episodes, and I dread the day that a new pack of Bluey episodes comes out and I find them all just painful to watch. Second was how the whole feel of the Brony fandom was similar but different from the furry fandom. The saying goes that "Bronies are diet furries" and that's true in the sense that Bronies enjoy anthropomorphic animals in media, but by definition at least only like one specific faction of anthropomorphic animals, and unless they overlap and actually are furries too, they don't necessarily like anthropomorphic animals as a concept more generally. I saw that reflected most vividly in the ages of everyone in the documentary. With few exceptions, everyone shown was quite obviously between 15 and 25. Bronies on the whole tended to act more goofy, a bit more awkward, and more like stereotypical bros that grew up on Internet culture and memes than furries did. Also, a running thread of the documentary was inexperience. In many of the clips, Bronies were unsure of basic public speaking, unsure of their creativity, and unsure of the ins and outs of how to properly run a convention. Now, in my experience I have seen a little of that in newer and smaller conventions like Furrydelphia, but for something established like Anthrocon, the vibe I get from that is more a vibe of "We're furries, we split off from the science fiction fandom in 1989, we've been around a while, and know what we're doing." Anthrocon has been running since 1997, and it shows in how well run it is, and how I've found I really have to nitpick to find anything wrong with Anthrocon any year, and nitpick even further to think of one single thing the convention staff could have done better any year that was actually within their control. I also get the vibe that furries are generally older and more established. Sure, there are young furries who are in their late teens, but there's also plenty of furries in their 20s, and plenty more in their 30s, and even some graymuzzles who have been in the furry fandom since before Windows 95 was released. The end result of all of this, at least to my perception, was that the height of the Brony fandom around 2015 was a flash in the pan never to be replicated, while the furry fandom at large is slowly and steadily growing without many people really "aging out" and that the fandom at large may exist in a form at least recognizable for next 100 years. Finally, the question of what I should do with the physical DVD is moot, as I checked online, and everything I just watched is available for free on KZbin at kzbin.info/aero/PL-WqXoopuH_uEAiQA4WfD9RgiDh5oXvkZ&si=lg-ZyXQCh8-14pYb There's certainly no reason to give this to the swap shop, as I imagine any non-Brony would be completely and totally disinterested in the documentary. Further, unlike a documentary like Fursonas from 2016, Bronies 2 is a a disjointed collection of anecdotes not even working towards some central point, and I found a lot of the clips actually quite boring. So, I think this particular DVD is destined to go to the recycling. Though, I read that since DVDs are a mix of #7 plastic and aluminum, and this mixed media and harder to recycle, my curbside pickup will take CD cases as they're pure plastic, but the actual DVD will probably have to just go to the trash.
